[5.0] "The first half of the match was VERY slow, luckily is picked up a bit when the kendo stick got involved, but overall just mediocre. HHH's selling of the injury was good, but for a street fight there was a lack of weapon usage aside from one. I genuinely forgot it was a street fight until the kendo stick was brought out."
[5.0] "Triple H had already lost pole position backstage before the match. This makes his partially dominant performance all the more unnecessary, even if he ultimately gives way to his opponent after four kicks to the head. In terms of content, this is a slightly better TV match, which is not really a sign of quality in the context of a PPV. A sweaty, full brawl with a distinct lack of highlights."
[6.0] "The storytelling in this match is good but I think these two would have had a better match if it was next year when Sheamus was having consistently good matches, while here he was very hit or miss."
[5.0] "Triple H is always masterful at selling, and he had it on full display on this match. The in-ring storytelling with the injury was quite nice, but at the same time, it also makes me think it cheapens a big victory for Sheamus. Almost like it was a way for Triple H to put him over without it being exactly 100% 'clean.' My second problem with this match is that, for a Street Fight there's not much in the way of weapon usage. I honestly forgot the stipulation until Sheamus got the pipe and the announce team reminded me. It felt like it was supposed to be a normal match, but they decided to throw a kendo stick in there to justify the Extreme Rules PPV gimmick. A decent but otherwise entirely unremarkable performance out of these two. Far from a bad match, but there's nothing about this match you're really going to recall fondly a day after you watch it."
[7.0] "It was a quite good match. Outstanding storytelling, Triple H's arm selling, Sheamus's heel work, but it didn't feel like a Street Fight match for majority of the match, so I understand people rating it pretty low. I liked this, but could have been even better. Glad HHH put Sheamus over before taking a break though"
[3.0] "Sorry, it's just impossible to buy into Triple "am I fucking going over" H as an underdog babyface in danger. No matter how much arm-selling he does. This was another match I really didn't care about, even despite the good planning that clearly went into the match. Sheamus seems to get a big win except when you consider he'd hurt HHH beforehand. This way both men get to look weak!"
[7.0] "This was a pretty good match. It was surprising to see Triple H get dominated so much but I liked seeing Sheamus get such a strong win, even if it was due to a pre-match attack. Triple H did a good job selling the effects of the pipe attack."
[4.0] "Triple H puts over Sheamus on his way to a long break, though he does it after the damage was already done. Oh, and he came back and embarrassed him the next year. The match wasn't bad but it was eh."
