[5.0] "14:48, of which we have ~12:48. Tenryu has a little fire but is still raw, Hata and Irwin work fine and Hata has some great fighting spirit, there's a nice Double Atomic Drop teamwork finisher, but really this is made decent by Bill Robinson selling the juicebox out of everything, impacting with energy on every move, even looking engaged and sharp at ringside (except at the finish where he doesn't bother to break up the pin, weirdly). This is not a top tier entry but is a great reminder of Robinson's skills. 2.5/5"

[5.0] "Nothing much to write home about. They worked at a very dry pace for the most part, though it always colored me intrigued to see Bill Robinson given the rep he received over the decades. I dug the arm work in the middle, but it didn't lead to anything significant. [**1/4]"
[4.0] "An average match, Irwin just isn't a very good wrestler and drags this down. Had Robinson had a better partner it would have taken this into better territory, as there were some good exchanges with Tenryu and Robinson in this."
[5.0] "This is the third match and earliest tape in circulation of Bill Irwin, the future Goon, in AJPW. He's here representing the AWA alongside Robinson. Anyway, the first two minutes were clipped in the contemporaneous broadcast. This is a competent but not outstanding match, as is to be expected from these start-of-the-year tags, and a 1970s match in all but date: that is, armwork galore. Tenryu doesn't look like a future legend here, but he does look like at least a solid midcarder. Irwin's work isn't as smooth as the others, but the contrast ends up working. He takes the fall to a double atomic drop. **1/2"
