[9.0] "My favorite match of the night and maybe my favorite FTR match in AEW so far, which is saying something because they've had a lot of great ones already. Chuck and Trent picked up their game in a huge way and FTR did all the little things I love, the moments of strategy and psychology which elevate their matches over the more visually bombastic bouts."

This match sets up one of the dumbest angles in wrestling, fighting over a game console, Miro has been completely wasted in AEW - not related to the match really but needs to be said. FTR's reign as champs has not been great truth be told, they could and should have done better."

[7.0] "A standard FTR match with a long domination by them against resilient babyface. Everything was there for this match to be a success because Best Friends are the perfect type of opponent for them, well it was a good match but unfortunately it didn't turn out to be a classic as they would have expected. Simply because this kind of match is hardly captivating in this context and when it's not carried by a crowd. FTR are excellent but what made all their all-time great tag matches at NXT was the raging crowds that carried their matches and booed Dax and Cash to death. Here it's hard to reproduce matches of this quality with so few people in the arena, obviously it's not their fault and the match is still really good. FTR are still ring general who know how to carry a match like nobody else and how to set up a heat like few people know how to do in wrestling nowadays. Here they have been perfect, especially Dax who's really a wrestler that I love and I like to describe as the modern Arn Anderson. He's good at everything he does, both in the ring and in his acting and trash-talk, and on top of that I find him really charismatic. Cash is good too but here it's Dax that I found the most interesting, as usual. On the Best Friends side it's obviously Trent who was the best and that's normal because he spent the three-quarters of the match as the legal man. He's really a very good seller and his offence was very interesting too. Chuck also had some good moments in various comebacks but we didn't see him that much. I'm a little bothered by the finish but you have to get used to it with FTR who have been sneaky heels since day one and that's never going to change. Overall it was a good match, very good at times, but there wasn't that epic side that both teams tried to give us despite all their efforts."

[7.0] "A good tag team match . Very entertaining tag team action from both teams. Chuck felt like the weak link as he got very sloppy towards the end. This match had some good exchanges with FTR showcasing their technical ability in response to the quick fast pace of Best Friends. FTR;s heel antics were timed correctly as I did not find them annoying. The DDT fest was very enjoyable too and I really liked Trent reversing the superplex from the top rope by Dax. I liked the ending a lot with Trent missing with his spear crashing into the video game thingie to put Trent out of the match and Trent styaed down which is a good thing making it a handicap match . FTR gained the victory with swinging the title onto the face of Chuck to get them the pinfall victory. A good match nonetheless. ***3/4"

It didn't flow well. The spot with the arcade machine seemed too contrived and obvious to set up their next feud. The outcome was never seriously in doubt"

[7.0] "I'm not an AEW watcher but I like both teams from their previous work in other companies so I gave this a watch. It was pretty fun! They both meshed well and while I would have liked a little less of the Kip Sabian stuff, the match itself was fun. Going in I had no hope Best Friends would win but the match got me to believe it was possible a few times."

[4.0] "I? m realizing that the main thing I enjoy about FTR is how much tension they can build against a face team before the comeback and if the comebacks not good then the match won? t be either for the most part. This was the issue I had here with everything the best friends did just kind of falling flat. The mismatch breaking of an arcade machine to set up a best friends miro rivalry was pretty lame and I? m really not excited for that feud. The finish made no sense why would a ref just turn and cower because someone may bump into him? This allowed FTR to cheat for the win but it just made very little sense."

[8.0] "This would've been rated higher if they hadn't just lingered on that spot where Trent rammed himself into Kip Sabian's arcade game. The spot itself was cool and it served the purpose of kicking starting the Best Friends-Miro/Kipper feud but I think we could've done without two minutes of Kip looking like someone kicked his dog while the match grinded to a screeching halt. Other than that I thought this was match really good, even great. The Best Friends are capable of working any style really well so they meshed with FTR in a way the Lucha Brothers and even Jurassic Express didn't in previous matches. FTR was also a lot smoother than usual, and the action built really well right up until the spot with Kip, although they did briefly regain it before the finish, which I thought was fine given the story they've been telling with FTR. It could've been a tad bit better, but I still found this to be a really strong match."
