The crowd is way hotter for this than it deserves. Even in Hogan's waning years as a face, he's still mega-popular. The match itself is terrible. Luger is just... not interesting. Even with Hogan's played-out match formula, he's still fun as hell to watch. The charisma is there with his expressions, the way he carries himself around the ring, the hulk-up spots, there's a character there to get behind even if you've seen it all before. I don't even think Luger's torture rack looks particuarly good, like ever, but it's cool to see it put on Hogan. Finish is, as expected, Dungeon of Doom interference. |
