[5.0] "D'Lo's promo beforehand stinks so bad it kinda kills the match. There should be some macabre interest in seeing a late era WWF guy take on an ROH original but the match never clicks. Obviously Jay Briscoe is talented, but him and D'Lo seem to be water and oil together. I'm watching all the ROH shows from Adam Pearce's run as booker and I have some semi-fond memories of D'Lo's run but this is a pretty mediocre start. **1/2"
[6.0] "D-Lo's pre-match promo absolutely sucked, but I enjoyed the match. I always find it interesting when ROH regulars have to adapt to the style and pacing of WWE veterans, much like with Matt Hardy and Joey Matthews on previous events. I liked that D-Lo was a bit more of a bruiser here, such as when he was leveling Jay with repeated, impactful clotheslines, and think he could be something a bit different on the ROH roster as a midcard heel. Unfortunately the finish was pretty lame and unconvincing, so it did feel like the match fizzled out a little bit, but I still thought this was pretty solid."
[6.0] "I think this was only OK as a match, but the novelty of having D-Lo in RoH did add a lot of enjoyment for me. It was a bit weird seeing Briscoe go down so easily but he was obviously not being protected like he would be later on. I'd say if you like D-Lo it's worth a watch, but otherwise it's nothing you need to go out of your way to see."
