ACH vs. Kevin Steen

[8.0] "A major step up from the shows first match. It was hard hitting, high intensity, super indie maximalism and on top of that, it was really damn funny. No one does crowd work like Steen, "This is water! " followed by "H2O" chants absolutely cracked me up. Really good stuff, ****1/4"

[9.0] "Steen did a tremendous job being an obnoxious, unlikeable bully heel while at the same time being able to one-up and shut up drunk dumbasses with clever remarks and not losing his heat in the process. ACH's small comebacks were so good, that they planted seeds of anticipation for his big comebacks and holy shit they were impressive - he made cool shit look so easy it's mindblowing. Steen's cutoffs were devastating though and he won with a brutal Package Piledriver. ****1/4"

[10.0] "Rewatching this, the nuances in the story give me a much bigger appreciation of their work. The bulk of the match may be Kevin Steen using his power to bully ACH, but he does other things incredibly well, like using his veteran experience to evade the risk-taking dives, shutting down annoying drunks in the crowd while maintaining humor to let other people enjoy themselves, and selling well when the time comes. Meanwhile, ACH got to make a big impression after his BOLA debut, as he was able to generate sympathy in his babyface underdog role, showcase some of funny personality and let him do a big comeback with his mind-blowing offense. The immense barrage of offense that was necessary for Kevin Steen to gain victory was impressive, and also a testament to ACH incredible resilience. Even better was the repeated beatdowns on ACH after the match ended, followed by Kevin Steen getting on commentary for the night and further exposing the motivations his new resentful scumbag persona. Really, the only thing missing was ACH getting the upset victory to cement him as a credible main eventer, which PWG never truly did, but otherwise this was close to perfection."
