[7.0] "The match begins with a lockup before Kobayashi hip tosses Hoshino into the light tubes scattered across the ring. Hoshino quickly responds by driving Kobayashi into the tubes strapped to the ropes and smashing bundles across his back. He follows with scoop slams onto more tubes before tossing Kobayashi out to the floor, where the two trade tube shots back and forth. Back in the ring, Hoshino chops bundles of tubes into Kobayashi's back, then boots more tubes into him before planting him with another scoop slam. Kobayashi finally mounts a comeback with a second-rope dropkick, then smashes multiple tubes into Hoshino's skull with headbutts and breaks more across his chest with stiff chops. Kobayashi slams him down onto another bundle and stacks several more in the ring to build a light tube contraption. Hoshino counters with a brutal chokeslam into the contraption, then follows with another slam and a standing senton onto a layer of tubes placed across Kobayashi's body. Hoshino climbs to the top, but Kobayashi cuts him off and hits a superplex. He keeps the momentum by smashing tubes into Hoshino with an elbow drop, then adds another big elbow from the top with more tubes piled on his opponent. Kobayashi tries to press the advantage with more tubes set up, but Hoshino sweeps his legs, sending him crashing into them. Both men are drenched in blood as the punishment adds up. Hoshino rallies with stiff strikes before hitting a diving senton from the top rope for a near fall, then climbs again and lands a second senton to finally put Kobayashi down for the 3 count. This was a solid deathmatch for the sheer spectacle of blood and glass, with an insane number of light tubes destroyed throughout. It's worth watching for the visuals alone, but the pacing was fairly slow, and the lack of near falls or dramatic psychology held it back. A messy, violent brawl that delivers on gore more than structure."

I thought they started the match at a 100. They were already using light tube after light tube, and I thought they'd keep this same level of work throughout the match. However, they exceed that. They somehow go pass the high level they were already at. The last 5 or so minutes are so brutal and intense. I really don't know how these guys can still go and do this stuff night after night. They set the tone right at the beginning by stomping on light tube after light tube. You know it's gonna be a measure of toughness, which is really what the first half is. No pins are attempted until after that. My biggest gripe about this is that these guys sometimes just let the other wrestler do a huge strike or a move to them. Which I think it works when they're on the outside, slamming eachother down with the tubes. But in other sections, I don't think it makes as much since. At some point, Kankuro goes up to the top rope to dive onto Abdullah. But, Abdullah gets up (slowly) and rocks Kankuro in the head with the tubes. Kankuro kinda just looks and watches it happen. While the last 5 or so minutes are really competitive and intense, I think some of the match could have been more like that. Both these guys look like absolute beasts coming out of this one, though. Near the end, they're slapping each other and you can see glass literally flying off of them. Like sweat coming off of someone on a clothesline. Instead, it's glass, and that's just insane to me. I thought all the kickouts were earned, and in this style of wrestling you kind of have to look at logic and psychology differently. Not throw it out the window, because their exists good psychology in this match. It's just different than other matches. Its like both men are offended by the idea that the other man *could* be tougher. It's great and while it doesn't need to be, it is also simple. The spots I enjoy the most were Kankuro's chokeslam onto the light tube table contraption they made, Abdullah's elbow drop with light tubes, onto light tubes, and onto Kankuro, and Kankuro trapping Abdullah's head in the ropes and through the light tubes so he could mess up his back. It has its faults, but the highs are plentiful, and very high. [****]"
[7.0] "Besides all the lighttube madness there wasn't really anything substantial. Some cool moves but in general pretty slow and plodding. Kobayashi really showed his charisma and connection to the fans wich was really cool. Overall a nice deathmatch but nothing special. ***1/2"
[10.0] "This the apex of Koyabashi and he showed it here. Pure Light Tubes madness, despite I know that Deathmatches based on Light Tubes could be ripetitive for someone here they displayed they fantasy and almost all the 300 light tubes have been broken. Really raccomanded, BJW was gold in early '10. *****"
[7.0] "This match was all about breaking light tubes in many different ways and kicking out of many different big moves. They missed the peak, but the finishing stretch still had some great moments in it."
[8.0] "It is a scientific fact that it a match starts with a ton of lighttubes on the floor and the wrestlers stomp around breaking them up that it will be good. For newer fans of BJW who are used to Hoshino as the midcard comedy guy, this is a good showcase of his abilities and talented in a more serious match. Quite liked Kobayashi getting his head stuck between the ropes and Hoshino just murking him with tubes. The last few minutes are interesting because all the glass is borken so the guys just throw lariats at one another."
[10.0] "A great match between two incredible wrestlers who makes me sick and happy in the same time. Abdullah Kobayashi proves how good he is with those lighttubes. But Hoshino after a lot of suffering takes a great win. A lot of pain, of blood. But a match for the real men."
