Darby Allin vs. Ricky Starks

[7.0] "Good match between these two: Allin hit a snap suplex on the apron early on in the match which Starks sold perfectly. Starks took the upper hand for a bit before a good comeback by Allin. The best move of this match was definitely Starks' spear to counter a springboard by Allin, it looked amazing. The ending was cool as well with a coffin drop on the back. If the match lasted longer it surely would've been better but it was still good despite the short lenght. 7/10 - 3.5*/5*"

[6.0] "Fun opening match between Allin and Starks which was far from being anything great or close to it but was definitely a good little watch and was pretty consistent for an opener, Darby is always a lot of fun to watch, it's a bit less so for Starks in my opinion but it's probably his best singles match in the company to date in my opinion. Even if apart from his Spear in mid-air which I admit was beautiful, it's still Darby who does most of the match. Not a fan of Starks' long heat which wasn't very interesting, Darby's comeback was cool with a fantastic Code Red but again I wasn't really thrilled. I can't explain it, I know the content I just watched was good but for me they told absolutely nothing between the ropes, they didn't really have any inspiration or chemistry. Hard to understand why this match is so loved, but I guess it wasn't for me."

[7.0] "This was really good, but it was just too short. I was hoping to see their little feud build up to something bigger, but they just threw this match together without much fanfare. What little of the match there was I thoroughly enjoyed, I just wish there would've been more. ***1/2-***3/4"

[10.0] "This was absolutely fantastic, both guys knocked it out of the park here. I'm finally seeing in Starks what others have claimed to see, he definitely did well, but once again the big star is Darby Allin, who seems to elevate everyone with his fearless bumping and the urgency he injects into matches. He's great at making things feel super heated and did so here. I'm glad this match did great viewership, they deserved it."

[8.0] "This match was relatively short but did a great job displaying the rivalry at hand. This can definitely lead to some great storylines from both competitors in the future. Starks especially looked like a star here, his chemistry with Allin is patently natural and he has the skill to back it up. I noted in my rating for Starks himself that he's got an insane amount of charisma and an exquisite skill for selling moves, and all of that shines here. Allin himself plays a very good underdog role, but this match differed from his other matches in that it felt more 'even' in a sense. It worked out well, because the two have relatively similar body frame and can really go with each other. *4*"

[7.0] "I liked this match, because it was unorthodox and their hatred and rivalry seemed real. Taz on commentary was a nice plus, bringing attention to the storyline that he actually tried to recruit Darby Allin before Team Taz ever got invented. Starks looked good despite the defeat and I hope this feud is not over yet."

[7.0] "Considering how their rivalry developed, I hoped for a more eventful and prolonged match, but even without that it turned out very well, both wrestlers definitely have common chemistry and style and the coordination of actions in the ring was excellent."

[6.0] "Fun match if a bit short. They've been feuding for a while so it was fun to finally have a match between the two of them. Darby's a maniac and always fun to watch but though I really like ricky he's still a meh as an in ring talent."

[7.0] "This was a solid, if a bit short match, between two guys involved in a good feud who worked well together. Starks really put Allin over with him winning clean, although the match psychology was decent and Hobbs coming out to stop Cage from doing the run-in worked well."

[9.0] "Dynamite always uses this formula of starting with a red hot match, a fun sprint. This was the case here, as these two guys have a now pretty long story of feuding with each-other and I think it's far from over."

[10.0] "Fantastic TV match, just awesome. It felt like an important part of the storyline and not the end, which is great, because I want to see more after this. Ricky Starks was great in this match, he sold almost too well. Great stuff."

[7.0] "This was a fun match that was fast moving, hard hitting, and intense. I do wish that they had been given a little time, which would have helped push into the territory of a great match, but it was still quite good and is definitely worth your time."
