[7.0] "The typical Goto/Naito match. This match suffered from the same problem most Goto main events have. Not once did I believe Goto would beat Naito. He definitely wouldn't beat him with a Naito/SANADA match coming up on Night 8. This match isn't without merit though. There's some very slick sequences and solid arm work by Naito. 22 minutes seemed like the right time on paper, but it felt plodding at times. I can't fault their work though. ***1/2"

[7.0] "Another good match from Naito's G1 run. The selling was the best part here, along with the amazing counter-after-counter. I would say that Goto trying to defeat the champion and failing at the end was a good story, but, you know, yeah it was, but it is the same fucking thing over and over again, it's just getting boring and boring to watch Goto's match against a Main Eventer or the Heavyweight Champion. Still, I enjoyed the match, although I think it could've been a little faster and intense. ****"
