1 | 29.06.2023 | EvanCallaway | 6.0 | Sadly, the available version of this match is very low-quality, what makes it a rough watch. Still, I apreciate it for what it is. Big Red is not a good wrestler, but, boy, do I miss that kind of look in today's wrestling. |
2 | 24.01.2021 | MagnusD | 3.0 | Below average stuff here, Red is not an interesting wrestler and Abdullah is too much of a styles clash for Caras and Jumbo. Absolutely nothing to see here. |
3 | 18.09.2020 | KinchStalker | 4.0 | One day before they would have a nice little Champion Carnival match, Jumbo and Dos Caras teamed up here to face eventual Carnival winner Abdullah and gaijin-of-the-week Big Red. And Caras is the best thing about this match when he's in, trying to use his lucha skills to take down big men that he is so not equipped to handle. Besides that, though, this is just another entry in the Jumbo/Abby rivalry. And with the possible exception of a Baba/Jumbo vs Abby/Sheik tag match or two, it's just not a very compelling one to go back and watch. This is successful enough at what it's aiming for, but is unremarkable overall. (Also, the quality of the copy of this match in circulation is extremely rough, even by the standards of 1970s AJPW VHS recordings. ) After the heels are disqualified in the first fall, Caras gets the pinfall with a diving crossbody on Red after Jumbo primes him up with a jumping knee. ** |
