Bobby Eaton vs. Chris Jericho

[7.0] "Pretty good opener to get the crowd going here, Eaton puts Jericho over here but keeps to the faster pace Jericho thrived in very well. There's some nWo stuff going on in the crowd, but it didn't detract much from the action in the ring and Jericho v Syxx sounds like an exciting PPV match."

[6.0] "Jericho continues his string of good tv matches. It didn't take him long to get over with the crowd."

[6.0] "Chris Jericho and Bobby Eaton were both great in-ring performers. This was the opening match on Nitro and had Syxx and nWo Sting in the crowd causing chaos with their banners. Jericho and Eaton both display some great athleticism in this match. I was disappointed with a lot of Eaton's stuff during this era where the nWo seemed to want to destroy WCW and Eaton never showed any emotion whatsoever about the company he's worked for over a decade being threatened. He should've been front of the defense line. But I enjoyed this one for what it was..."

[7.0] "An enjoyable match that you might not expect to see. You may think Jericho would be the more notable talent of this time, and certainly he had more push, but I find him a bit bland and thought it was actually Eaton who led the match in a positive direction."
