Bobby Eaton vs. Steve Austin

[5.0] "Bit of a nothing match, very clunky very plodding, but it was 1991 and Austin's first matchguide match so can't really prod too much"

[4.0] "A adequate TV title match, nothing too overally special but hits all the right notes and does what it needs to do. The copy of the match that I was watching was a bit strange it that the audio was desynced so I didn't enjoy it as much as I should have, but the match itself is still acceptable, I like how the ending plays out. Interesting to watch an Austin with 2 years here."

[6.0] "Good match, great to see Eaton still at his prime against a young but promising Steve Austin here.. Good match overall, with a good aggression from Austin and great reversals and comebacks from Eaton, with a clothesline from Austin on the outside for example.. But the ending is quite disappointing with an intervention of Lady Blossom (Austin's manager), even though it results in Austin's 1st WCW title, which marks the beginning of his legendary career.."

[9.0] "Now this is more like it! Great TV title match between a current great in Bobby Eaton and a future great in Steve Austin, who really started to make his name at this time. Eaton is such a great though, everything he does looks spot on great and everyone loved working with him."
