In IRS's case, his lack of stamina leads to extremely long rest holds, causing the match to stall repeatedly. Since neither protagonist is a technical wrestler to begin with, the overall quality remains fairly average."

[3.0] "This match is really boring. Razor's charisma and a hot crowd are all that save it. The in ring work is really poor. There is a LOT of time spent in rest holds for such a short match. Razor's bursts of offense are fine, but the majority of offense is very simplistic and not exciting at all. Still, I'd have given this four points but the dusty finish was terrible. IRS 'wins' for about 15 seconds after Shawn interferes, only to get the Razor's Edge and lose. Why? Why not just have Razor kick out and win? He got eliminated at the Survivor Series last time he was on PPV, now we need a dusty finish for him here? Just give him a win. There was no need for any of this booking and the bout around it was bland anyway. Easily the weakest match on this card."

The match was nothing special from bell to bell, but the fact the crowd was alive from start to finish was a good sign. Plus, the finishing sequence involving Shawn Michaels was effective. [**1/2]"

[5.0] "Another example of an ending sequence that ruins a pretty good match. I think that Razor and IRS had pretty good chemistry and the opening of this match is a great example of how to set a fast pace without doing unnecessary gymnastics. There's a spot in the match that I love, where IRS is on the turnbuckle and jumps up as Razor puts his foot up, and IRS lands grabbing the foot, pushing it aside and dropping an elbow. It's so simple, but wrestling logic would have us believe that anytime someone jumps off the ropes and someone's foot is up, they have to land jaw first on it. It started going off the rails when the ref was knocked out for what seemed like 15 minutes (it was probably 3-4 mins). IRS tries to use briefcase, Razor cuts him off, goes for pin, ref knocked out, belly to back suplex off the turnbuckles, then tease to set up Razor's Edge before Shawn Michaels comes out and interferes to knock Razor out. The referee's finally returns from Valhalla to see IRS pinning Razor so he counts 1-2-3...and the bell doesn't ring. Why doesn't the bell ring? Bell always rings after the referee counts. But no, here comes Earl Hebner to let the ref know that he was hallucinating the last twenty seconds, in time enough so that Razor gives the Razor's Edge and retains the title. What the hell is going on with the finishes on this card?"

[5.0] "Interesting. It was a fight between 2 big guys. IRS shows a lot of experience by counter some of Razor's moves as well with a lot of heel tactics to stay on top, while Razor grind his way up by going toe to toe with his adversary, you could see his big move strategy after some matches, that back drop was quick and effective. The ending was badly overbooked, why they didn't allowed Ramon to kick out and beat ISR if he was going to just stood up and going for the finisher eventually? **1/2"

Rotunda is a good heel and I always enjoy his cheeky holds, this time his headlock with the legs on the ropes. Razor has grown on me as a face in this match, as he put more effort into working the crowd here while still keeping some of his heel antics and Michaels interfering was exciting and really made you think that they'll put the title on IRS."

The shenanigans towards the end of the match were entertaining and the crowd loved Razor so much that it helped keep this at least somewhat engaging. Personally, my favourite part of the match was just the funny shot they got of IRS peering up over the apron like a stooge after he high tailed it out of the ring following a beating from Razor."

But this one was chaotic and fun thanks to Scott Hall as Razor Ramon. I always hated the second referee getting involved schtick, though. It seems like they could do that for every match if they do it here."

[5.0] "This wasn't a great bout, but it was solid enough to be watchable. We saw Shawn Michaels involved in the match to continue his rivalry with Razor Ramon. Shawn hit Razor with his Intercontinental belt, and the referee counted to three and awarded the victory to IRS. But the match was restarted, and Razor hit the Razor's Edge on IRS for the win. [**3/4]"
