[3.0] "What a weird mashup of teams here. This hardly felt like a "PPV" match, but the crowd was into Guerrero/Raschke. Hector was bumping around all over the place and even unleashed a dive over the top rope that got a huge reaction. Sadly, that was about the only thing of interest. Raschke didn't do much but got the pinfall after an iron claw + elbowdrop. *1/2"

Baron's hot tag is rather lukewarm and we'll remember the crowd's reaction to the spit. In-ring quality: 0.5/4. Stakes: 0.25/2. Justification: ? /1. Place on the card: 0.75/1. Suspense: ? /1. Bonus/Malus: none. Total : 4.5/10. Match seen on WWE Network."

[6.0] "Weird teams, but as the match goes on, you realize they are all perfectly suited to their roles. Hector shocks the announcing team with a pescado, which they had never seen before, before going into face-in-peril. Heat section is basic, but then Hector is able to make the tag by spitting in Whatley's eye, which is something I'VE never seen before, at least as an offensive move. Old man Von Raschke as hot tag is a revelation, and they go home before he has to do too much (because he probably can't)."

Von Raschke finally got himself in to the match to a huge pop. Went on the heels two on one and had them for a moment, when heels started to get over again Hector equalized the numbers and von Raschke got the win. This was a great babyface/heel action and crowd was really interested in the match thus made it more fun to watch. Overall, average in ring work with better good guys vs bad guys action."

[5.0] "Ok tag match. Hector Guerrero carries this almost single handedly with his dynamic offense and bumping for the heels, mainly the Barbarian. It starts off hot, the heels get heat on Guerrero until the hot tag is made for Baron Von Raschke, it's the classic tag match structure. The crowd is really into Raschke, to be fair, and pop like crazy for the claw and the win. Nothing special or anything, but Guerrero does some good work and the crowd is hot for it"

The Baron only appearing at the very end for 30 seconds or so. The finish makes Shaska look like a complete chump. Props to Hector for doing a pescado in 1986. The crowd lost their minds at that!"

Shaska Whatley has become a gem in a time when I wasn't regularly viewing this promotion and I'm amazed he didn't catch on anywhere else. The Barbarian was so underrated until the end of his career. Hector is great, but overshadowed by his brother Eddie's career. Baron just sucked. The arena is dark, so it couldn't have been full. Hector was the standout performer in this match, but it still was an average match, which was fun, but just average."

[4.0] "This is such an odd match. I have to think that this was to get these four on the show but it was announced as a grudge match. Raschke is a legend though, so the crowd seem positive to the match during introductions. Barbarian and Whately attack at the bell but the tables get turned quickly and are thrown into each other. Hector spices up the match with some cool sequences but the match gets taken over by the heels. Whatley and the Barbarian are fine. Perfunctory in the role but their heel spots arent appealing. Thankfully the hot tag to Raschke comes quickly. Raschkle isnt great but his movements produce an energy to the crowd. Plus it signals the end as he beats Whatley who ran himself into the ropes and ate an elbow drop. The heels attack Raschke after the match, hitting a flying headbutt until Hector Guerrero makes the save. From the looks of it, Hector Guerrero wouldve been best served elsewhere. And Baron von Raschke got a nice showcase match. **"

Everybody has such a colourful looking character and they all strongly contrast one another. I thought the match itself was watchable, probably a little on the weak side but there was enough personality here to carry things, along with some decent work from Guerrero and to a lesser extent the Barbarian."

[4.0] "Talk about odd pairing tag teams! Both teams look as if they were randomly generated. Hector is incredibly over with the crowd and hits a bunch of high-flying moves to Barbarian during his shine. We see the first-ever dive in Starrcade history as Guerrero launches himself onto Barbarian. Barbarian soon gets control of his quick opponent and we get a brief face-in-peril segment before he's able to make the tag to Baron von Raschke. Raschke is very washed-up by this point. He was never known as a good in-ring worker, but he moves around like an old man here. Raschke's claw finish is still over as rover though. Barbarian and Guerrero looked like they had pretty decent chemistry together and I think this would have been much better if this match was a singles match between them, but what we got instead was rather inoffensive."

The Barbarian was never great in the ring, Baron von Raschke is firmly into "cooky old guy" territory here, and Shaska Whatley is... whom? Not bad but pretty forgettable, based on this match. Hector tried but he could only do so much, and it made for a passable character piece more than anything else."
