KUSHIDA vs. Tomohiro Ishii

[8.0] "(Grade:B+) The junior heavyweight tryna hang with the heavyweights! A good matchup with Ishii definitely having the strength advantage against Kushida who does his best to out submission him, Enjoyable showcase for them in Ireland!"

[8.0] "KUSHIDA at the time wanted to challenge heavyweights, and this match against Ishii was structured like he tried to overcome the wall. It made sense why he wanted and why he tried, but ultimately he wasn't able to do it, Ishii needed to really work hard to put KUSHIDA away though. ***3/4"

[9.0] "Kind of blows my mind that these two have only had 2 singles matches against each other. Both absolute legends in their own right, colliding in OTT of all places. Fantastic match, packed full of energy. The crowd have no idea who to root for here, and I feel that. 9/10"

[10.0] "My favorite away match of Tomohiro Ishii in 2018. The battles with Keith Lee and Minoru Suzuki are amazing, but he found such epic and chilling chemistry with Kushida that this match literally left no chance for the rest. Both wrestlers remained themselves and kept the audience in suspense with the things they knew how to do best, skillfully balancing on two different fields. I liked every second, it looks like a classic match that will look good both on the independent stage and in the main event of Tokyo Dome (****3/4)."

[7.0] "Although this was very good, I felt this was a little disappointing, with KUSHIDA in a rare foray against a New Japan heavyweight in Tomohiro Ishii. Lack of opportunities like this was partly why KUSHIDA decided to leave NJPW to go to NXT, but this was presented fairly cold right out of intermission, and the fans weren't fully into it like they would have been otherwise."
