[6.0] "match was alright but it looked like it lacked structure and logic muto would just hit a shining wizard whenever he felt like it muto hits a moonsault just for tenryu to get up before he does a couple of mutos moves barely connect other than that the arm work from muto was great and he is good at adding intensity in his moves tenryu did fine and the brainbuster at the end looked wonderful top moment was probably when tenryu countered mutos cartwheel into a back elbow with a lariat to the back of the head"

[6.0] "Kawada had to vacate the Triple Crowd, so former champion Muto will face Tenryu to declare a New champion. This was a step back from their 2001 bout. There's some sloppiness here and it just lacks the oomph that their last singles match had. After nearly five minutes of meaningless mat-work, Tenryu wakes up the comatose crowd by hitting a Shining Wizard and following it up with Muto's famous pose. This frustrates Muto and he starts working this one with added aggression. Muto doesn't get all off the hurricanrana he hits here, but is quick enough to think on his feet and transition the pin attempt to an armbar. Muto's armwork segment was fun while it lasted, until it is completely forgotten about. One good thing about the selling here is Muto sells the hell out of his knee injury. His injury stops him from immediately going for a cover after hitting a moonsault and this ultimately ends up costing him. Like most of Muto's big matches, the final few minutes whip the crowd into a frenzy and get them to bite on every nearfall. I just wish the rest of the match was as good as the last few minutes."

[10.0] "Are you kidding me? This is a hell of a beautiful match, probably even a favorite in this series of matches, which was the peak of their relationship and where all their tricks reached a whole new level. The very atmosphere of the Budokan was conducive to this, Stan Hansen, who came out to announce the match in advance, added points to this, the wrestlers could only not disappoint, but they jumped above their heads. The match really started out as the most uninteresting, but it kept me on my toes, going from one stage to the next, and when it came to the climax, they just destroyed me. It was one of the hottest finishes ever, where the willpower, tactics, and savvy of both wrestlers went hand in hand with their existing experience, Tenryu and Muto anticipating each other's actions and their every move resembled a move in chess. Despite the fact that Tenryu is my favorite wrestler of the past era, they managed to make me genuinely root for Muto, and so the last minute, when Keiji tried his best to survive, but he was not given, made the greatest impression on me. I understand why the vast majority of fans prefer the first match for the Triple Crown, but there is an inexplicable maturity and a different level that just needs to be looked at differently (*****)."
