[2.0] "I normally love an overbooked overstuffed battle royal, but man, this wasn't it. It was clear the second legion of doom were 1 of only 2 teams that got an actual intro on the broadcast that they were going to win. Also, I hate the stipulation that if one member of a team is gone, both members have to leave. I feel like they should be able to continue. People get eliminated at a moment's notice, and somehow the match goes way too quickly for anything to happen, and drags way too long because nothing happens. I mean, Mark Henry's partner gets eliminated, and he gets like 2 people out before somebody else throws him out, like the refs made everybody else leave, why did Mark have to be thrown out? Lawler spends like half the match talking about how hot Sunny is and talking up Brian Christopher, so he's pretty much useless on commentary (love him the rest of the show though)."

This match is more interesting for the novelty that it is one of the very few WWF PPV appearances of the Rock and Roll Express, and I believe the final PPV appearance for the Quebecers. Beyond that possible trivia question, it is just punches and kicks. The LOD win to the surprise of no one. Not awful, but a poor start to the card."

[0.0] "[True Rating -4/10] Atrocious match! Having 30 men in the ring all at the same time is as awful and as messy as it sounds. It's impossible to follow whats going on and it's not helped at all by the dumb rule where a team is eliminated if only one of them is thrown over the top rope! So many of the eliminations are hard to spot and many of them are on double feature because they are missed live (can't really blame the camera crew on that one). Not to mention there are several interferences which makes it even more confusing. Also why is there two Los Buricas and Nation of Domination teams in there? LOD returning with Sunny as their new manager was a cool moment, but the match is hideous to watch and doesn't function properly at all as a battle royal."

The LOD 2000 was a decent idea, but throwing Sunny in as their manager was only a slightly better idea than having them carry a dummy to the ring. Too many people involved in this tag team battle royal for it to be enjoyable, but I didn't hate it. Just an excuse to get everyone on the card."

[3.0] "3.3/10: i never liked it when they started wrestlemania with some chaotic stuff, but that has recently changed since the andre the giant battle royal. This match kinda made me remember my initial thoughts. It was just the revelation of the reunited legion of doom, who obviously won the match. the match overall was just a downgrade, and pretty chaotic for me in the negative sense this time."
SalvatoreVitale wrote on 01.08.2024:

The match is pointless and feels chaotic in the worst way, becoming so cluttered that it's almost unwatchable. Additionally, there is general confusion regarding the rules, which adds to the overall lack of coherence."

JacquesRougeauCanHaveMyWife wrote on 17.01.2024:
[2.0] "What was the point of it? It's such an unwatchable chaos that even the commentators have no idea what's going on. It's impossible keep track of who has been eliminated and then you have to connect the dots who was the eliminated wrestler's tag team partner. Even Mark Henry couldn't connect them, as he has stayed in the ring long after D-Lo has been out. Nobody gets over here and before you realize that New Midnight Express are one of the two teams left they're quickly eliminated by LoD. What a horrible way to start the show."
RuSyxx wrote on 15.10.2023:
[2.0] "As a vehicle for LoD's return, it was solid. The problem is there were 14 other teams, most of which feel like they just exist as a result of how chaotically disfunctional this match was. Commentary continually repeated that if one member was eliminated, the team was, but then members would be in the ring long after their partner was gone. Too many men, no good method to maintain that. Someone also appeared to have been hurt from the onset, and they were well within hardcam view so not much to be done there in this case. I think a lot of this could have been salvaged, but most of the eliminated teams felt largely unbothered when the camera focused on them. Bradshaw did a good job of being frustrated, but several other teams looked like they were just walking off to take their shower rather than frustrated at losing which didn't help."

[6.0] "Big mark for L.O.D. so seeing them return here after like 4 months and hearing that pop was a highlight. As for the match itself, what I liked about it is while everyone brawled with everyone, pretty much all of the eliminations that mattered were done with some kind of logic (the teams had worked together recently, had history, or were eliminated to further a feud), while the rest were glossed over. It came down to a returning L.O.D. (I refuse to say 2000 because the road warriors will forever be the road warriors to me there is no "upgrading" them) and the new midnight express of bodacious bob and bombastic bart who were the NWA world tag team champions at the time (that angle was a big feature on the show in this era --the whole NWA thing), and ultimately L.O.D. ended up winning it. It was predictable yeah, but it got a lot of guys paydays."

[1.0] "The Legion Of Doom returns repackaged as the LOD 2000. Complete with new attire and Sunny as their valet, the Boston crowd absolutely adore them and they look like a million bucks. Sadly, this goes off a cliff once the bell rings. This is bad, even by battle royal standards. Not a whole lot of note happens. Brian Christopher gets press slammed on his face by Mark Henry and sells it like only he can. Barry Windham, who isn't in the match, comes down and starts brawling with Bradshaw. The LOD wins by last eliminating Bob Holly & Bart Gunn. Even when they are being protected by being in a battle royal, you can still tell that the LOD's best days are well behind them."

[2.0] "A tag team battle royal to get most of the roster on the card for a payday and a desperate attempt to revitalize the Legion Of Doom. LOD redebut with Sunny as their very short lived manager and new outfits (which they have trouble taking off, they ditched those helmets very shortly after this show) Standard tag team battle royal with some teams just being thrown together with no rhyme or reason to boost the head count to 30. LOD win the thing but nothing became of it. The New Age Outlaws were the faces of the tag team division going forward."
