Dear Gorilla, that was exactly the opening match of the last MSG show in April. Furthermore, this is a little more varied than the aforementioned Haku match, as the gimmick-loving Darsow is a little more versatile with the Dragon than the islander was at the time. The action then slips just into the five-point range for me, but as a match in itself, it's not a great experience either."
[5.0] "Pretty average match, Steamboat tried but there wasn't much to work with. It's strange to see Smash as a single wrestler on his own, it just didn't feel right, but they would repackage him as The Repo Man a few months later. Which wasn't the best gimmick but was a better use of him than the Demolition gimmick was by this point. Overall it was just a match, nothing particularly good or bad."
[6.0] "A solid, if unspectacular match between the lesser half of Demolition and Ricky Steamboat under his lamest gimmick, "The Dragon". You'd think the WWF would jump on a former world champion of Steamboat's caliber but they weren't too interested."
