230.09.2025TPG8.0Kingston and Webb opened, immediately throwing ladders and crashing into them until Sabian joined in, giving Blackout control. JC Bailey entered next, bringing chairs and thumbtacks, only for Jack Evans to fly in with his usual flash. Sexxxy Eddy added his biting weirdness, and finally Ruckus entered to complete Blackout. From there it was a storm of weapon shots, big dives, and bloody brawling, and Sabian hit a tornado DDT through chairs, Ruckus nailed a top-rope sit-out slam through a ladder, Cash came off the cage, and Eddy even did a blinded moonsault with a trash can over his head. Eliminations came through brutal table bumps: Webb was knocked off into a table between the rings, Kingston was destroyed by chair shots, and Eddy was crushed in a sequence of trash can torture. Evans missed a dive off the cage, hitting the floor instead, while Bailey and Cash kept throwing themselves into ladders, tacks, and tables. The finish saw Bailey climb, fight off Ruckus, and simply grab the belts while stepping over Robbie and Maven. It was a spectacle of reckless spots, sometimes messy but always wild. The ending felt flat compared to the carnage before it, but the effort and insanity made this a car crash worth watching. ****

524.07.2025MrRaider95910.0This is the best non traditional Cage of Death match ever. Just so much going on. There are some classic moments like Chris Cash killing Jack Evans, Sabian, and himself by throwing them out the cage, to Nate Webb's elimination, to everyone's crazy ass dives. This match is perfect for a CZW style war games match.
615.07.2025Havoc Rave10.0The match was perfect, although at first the rules were confusing, then they became clear (because you could win by knocking everyone out of the ring or taking the titles away from the BLKOUT managers, but in the end Team Cash did both). The only "problem" I saw was the ending. The ending was confusing and slow, but understandable. The action was dynamic throughout, regardless of whether there were two wrestlers in the ring or all eight at the same time. It was truly beautiful, it's War Games. I definitely recommend it.

1027.04.2025Porzingi10.0This match is insane. All 8 wrestlers put their lives on the line with some of the craziest and most dangerous spots you'll ever see, especially Jack Evans. This match is filled with action, but the finish to the match itself falls a little flat with the weird stipulation. It should've just ended after that final double elimination spot, which is one of the coolest and wildest ones ever. This is a 10/10 because it is consistently entertaining and shocking. 5***** 10/10

2023.10.2024KKeanel10.0Holy shit, that's one of the most impressive non-conventional wrestling match (non-conventional in meaning that includes different styles, not only characteristically hardcore centered) I've ever witnessed. Definitely CZW's landscape of greatness, RIP to Cash and Bailey, really important parts of this match.

2326.08.2024Philnox9.0This was my first CZW match, and honestly, I went in already expecting a lot of "extreme" stuff. It started a bit slow so I thought this would be just a "normal" cage/wargames type match. Of course, I was wrong. It quickly turned into a spotfest with lots of weapons, chair shots to the head and everything you could ask for. Every elimination looked like someone could've died if they took the wrong bump, but it still was pretty fun. The only negative thing I could say about it is that the ending felt a bit slow. Still, this was very fun.

2522.07.2024JohnAbbaRiley8.0This match was insane. Jack Evans was wild and some of the bumps he took was crazy. The match was violent and crazy in all the best ways. A fun match and has a nice style of a War Games match. 4/5 Stars

3126.12.2023Mizzle Assault Ant10.0So, there's a whole lot going on here. A few of these names are surely familiar, many will be unheard of to a lot of folks I think. The 00s indie boom produced so much talent yet was so hard to view (tape sharing! buying DVDs! ) that a lot got lost in the shuffle. I'm not even an expert enough to explain in detail who some of these folks are but I know after this one I'll be remembering their names. So this was War Games insofar as it had two rings and was surrounded by a cage, as well as the staggered entrances, but was unique insofar as the finish was not pinfall or submission, but rather that wrestlers could be eliminated if they were thrown out of the ring (over the cage or through a rather scary looking hole in between the two rings), or the match could end if someone climbed up to this scaffold kind of thing suspended above the ring and took the CZW tag belts from the heel managers stuck up there. Oh yes, the tag belts were also on the line in this match. So what can I say about the action itself? Pretty much just that it was the very definition of insanity. Kingston was the first man in and got things going nuts quickly, and it only went crazier from there. Very early on thumb tacks were thrown all over the ring so everyone got to take those bumps the whole match long, ladders were mangled, tables were broken, it seemed like every minute or so something else insane would happen. A guy moonsaulted off the top of the cage blind with a trash can over his head. Folks were plunged off the cage wall through tables on the outside, or in one horrifying case missed the table entirely. Very glad Jack Evans survived that one, by the way. There was definitely stuff in this match that I wouldn't tolerate today, nasty chair shots and headbutts, but this was 2004 when everyone was dumb and thought they were invincible, and Chris Benoit was alive, so I give some leeway there. Right at the end was one of the nuttiest spots I've ever seen, something that probably nobody should do and yet I can't help but be amazed. As a lover of genuinely bonkers spotfests with some true grit on the side, I was loving this one.

3311.12.2023Oswuold10.0Oh good where to start with this. This is one of the wildest thing I have ever seen on a wrestling ring and I have seen a lot of cool shit but this was just on another level. They were just being throwed through things or just flipping from tge top of the cage and it was fucking awesome. Best Bumpfest ever and one of the best Wargames - style matches ever, some of the spots have to be seen to be believed. *****

3707.11.2023TheMatchLogs Top tier bump freakage. Some of the indie scene's best and most willing to put their bodies on the line do their thing. Unbelievable wrestling, the stuff you try with your action figures that you'd never imagine someone would attempt in a match. The ending drags things down from a perfect version of the thing, but this is the closest I've seen to it from CZW.

4502.06.2021Paul Allain8.0This was a great way to use the format, as each entering wrestler got a chance to add his personal touch to the chaos, making it a fun and dynamic battle, and then the eliminations all felt impactful and logically pace, giving a sense of order through the spectacular car crash and slowly building to a climactic triumpg of the babyfaces to the crowd's joy. This was one of the most thought out and logical spread out matches CZW as presented, and that level of forethought and intriocacies paid up by making for a really fun and constructive match that payed off way more than usual.
4609.04.2021Loki Hipster God9.0I remember originally watching this back in 2005 and thinking it was the craziest match I had ever seen. 16 years later, it still might be the craziest match I've ever seen. I was a huge ROH fan at the time and actually hated CZW's roster of John Zandig-trained death match wrestlers, but this Cage of Death was different because it didn't feature the typical death match guys, it featured a number of solid workers and high fliers. So although this match featured a lot of weapons, the weapons were used in very creative and innovative spots. Once the match starts, it's pretty much nonstop insane spots until the finish. Some of the spots are so insane, they could have easily killed or permanently injured the wrestlers doing them if they had gone wrong. The only flaw with this match is the booking where Blkout's two managers are "punished" by being chained to the top of the cage, but it actually only helps Blkout because the managers serve as gatekeepers for the tag belts, actively keeping the belts away from the faces. This leads to an anticlimactic ending where Bailey has to awkwardly shuffle around the top of the cage trying to get the belts while the heel mangers try to hide them. It could have worked if Bailey had thrown them off the cage or hit them with a chair or something, but instead he just awkwardly tiptoes around them and grabs the belts.
4727.08.2020TheFlowBroTJ10.0This is probably the most *spotty* Cage of Death match to happen, but I mean that in the best way possible. Jack Evans took 2 extremely scary bumps, most notably when he fell from the top of the cage onto the concrete floor. I think this match and the Cage of Death match from the year prior are the best matches that CZW has ever put on, which is saying a lot, as (in my opinion) the company was putting on super great deathmatches during this era
