[9.0] "This match was better than the Genesis one. Samoa Joe puts another level in this match and Kurt fights the same way as the first encounter. Is very nice to see Prime or ROH Joe in TNA against the beast Angle. The crowd goes wild with Joe, that supports a lot this match because this time everyone wants to see Joe winning the rematch, Kurt uses a lot of tricks when he can't submit Joe but Joe survives with a hilarious spot. Great war and nice rematch. ****/50"

[9.0] "This was an awesome match. Kurt Angle's rivalry with Samoa Joe was a great way to introduce him to the TNA audiences as a top star. Much like their first fight, this was a fight, albeit this time with no blood to help tell the story. The last several minutes with both men trying to submit each other had the fans on their feet and loud for the match. Joe got his win back after putting over Kurt and ending his undefeated streak. Their first match at Genesis was better, but this was a great follow up. ****1/4"

[9.0] "This is the match that people wanted at Genesis. Most of the match is tighter, the story of Angle dominating makes sense given his technical skills and Joe shows great fire when hes given the chance. They play on the first match with some nice callbacks and the way Joe is hesitant to go too hard and get caught which keeps giving Angle chances to control the match are cool parts of the story that pay off well with Joes refusal to quit at the end. Butthat ending. Its good that Joe got a win, but its strange that he got two clean wins over Angle in the same match. He made Angle tap, then Angle cheated and Joe made him tap again. Either ending would be fine (Joe just winning or Angle getting frustrated and costing himself the match) but to do both of them in the same match just didnt work for me as it made Angle look like a dope rather than someone who got caught in either situation. ****1/2- This was a great match and delivered on the dream match hype promised by the Genesis match. Strong wrestling and character work from both guys made this a marked improvement on the original."

Favourite parts of the match was the repeated submissions from one another and Joe's monster suplex and the crowd's reaction to it."

[9.0] "Another tremendous match between Joe and Angle right here which was a longer, even more epic & above all even better version of their already great Genesis match which had taken place a few weeks earlier, a dream match that TNA decided to run it back here between two of the best wrestlers on the planet at that time, two of the greatest at their prime who faced each other in the main event of a PPV with twenty minutes to spare so it could only be fantastic anyway so nothing very surprising. Where their first match was more of an intense brawl than anything else, here we got a cleaner wrestling match with still a lot of intensity and a crowd just as hot as in their first meeting. The ending can be questioned but certainly not the rest, everything was of a phenomenal quality as usual with them anyway, this was the real deal at the time."

[9.0] "This was another war between the two men with some of the greatest submission wrestling I've ever seen. Kurt subtly knocking the ref out and kicking Joe in the nuts was high drama but I thought it took away from the match. The action was still as intense and smooth as you'd hope but the booking detracted some of my enjoyment. It was certainly longer and more epic than the Genesis match, not sure which was better."

[9.0] "The atmosphere was as surreal as their premiere encounter at Genesis and the intensity was on an all-time high. That was seen from the start when these two traded bombs at each other with a mix of incredible submission traps. The escape-and-counter strategy for most of the submission attempts worked so well here despite giving a feel of overkill at times. Angle reaching out to the filthy tactics suited well for his character as the newcoming legend who's poised to pull out all the stops. Joe was his usual self of manhandling the opponent with intense offense & lockups. The finish gave a great setting for the trilogy as well as letting the fans know that Joe is still the face of the company. Angle surely learnt that having the hands dirty won't help all the time. 4.5 out of 5 stars!"

[9.0] "Kurt Angle vs Samoa Joe 2 was just as good as their first meeting. They traded submission holds all match long with good intensity, Angle got the better of Joe in this so he controlled most of this matchup. The submission counters towards the end were really good with both men not being able to fully gain control until Joe got the final counter out of the ankle lock at the end.****1/2"

[9.0] "Kurt Angle and Samoa Joe here in a rematch, with some awesome mat wrestling and amazing intensity. Angle was still in peak condition at this point in his career, and Joe was Joe. You couldn't have asked for two better wrestlers to come together for a dream match, here. The submission reversals are one of the things that Angle is best at, and they're pretty damn awesome here. Angle getting frustrated and cheating near the end is totally on-brand for him and made sense, and Joe's win was super satisfying. Fantastic match."

[9.0] "Slightly better match than their meeting at Genesis and this told a slightly better story as well. The intensity and aggression was on fully display once again and the flow of match was great too especially given the way this was structured and I liked the slight callbacks to the Genesis meeting and how Joe found new ways to counter the Ankle lock. The ref bump bothered me at first but then helped with the character work of Angle as he became desperate to be Joe once again but his chicanery backfired and ended up forcing him to submit to Joe's Coquina Clutch in front of hot crowd which was common for big time matchups in TNA at this point. ****1/4"

[9.0] "Oh yeah. This is the good shit. A huge improvement on their already great match at Genesis in every way. The mat work, the reversals, the submissions, the sparingly used power moves, those vicious strikes, the continuity from their previous match, the subtly shifted dynamic between the two of them, the crowd... amazing. This is what professional wrestling should be. The only problem I have is the ending. That stupid chair-off-the-ropes spot had no place in a big fight between two evenly matched masters with shades-of-grey morality like this. That's a midcard comedy spot. Once again Russo shows that he can't strip away the bullshit and book a gritty, realistic simulation of a sports contest. In his world, somebody HAS to look like a buffoon. Even with that flaw, though, this match rules. Absolutely a must-watch."

[9.0] "In the end I thought that it was better than last month's match, and jumped into the MOTY race, early for some as some people go December to December. I gave it the same rating as the first, but it was very close to ****¾ in my opinion, but the tainted finish took away to me. This is Joe vs. Angle, if either guy loses in a great match no one is hurt, both still look string, so enough with the shit finishes. I will STILL say that it does feel rushed, and that they should have stretched things out but the matches have delivered big time for the promotion, and that is a truth. I really hope that they stretch out the build for the 3rd match, hopefully for the NWA title down the line and then another short series of matches. But as for drawing buy rates and delivering great matches, they have done that so far and that isn't a bad thing."

[6.0] "Submissions, submissions and more submissions. Yeah, I wanted more mat wrestling in their first match, but that was too much. I haven't seen anything new, the crowd wasn't as pumped as at Genesis (but still great crowd). Well, there was a Super Belly-To-Belly throw, but still the match was weak. The only good thing was the intensity during the battle of submission finishing moves between Joe and Angle. And, yes, a stupid ending again. Made Angle look like a clown. "Satisfactory" fits perfectly for this match."
