[9.0] "This could do down as one of my favourite ladder matches of all time - My only complaint which really stopped it being a 5 star match was that it should've been under a sold out arena crowd going mental for this but circumstances had it otherwise {4.75}"

However, the final stretch that saw everyone going back-and-forth to the top of the ladder went on for far too long. Thankfully, that was a detail that didn't take my attention away"

Reed hitting a Splash onto Gargano with Candice LeRae on his back was one of my favorite spots, along with Gargano hitting Grimes with a Sunset Flip Powerbomb onto a ladder, despite it not hitting completely."

Every one in this match was willing to take some crazy, creative bumps. The pace was excellent with nearly non-stop action. Priest's crowning achievement, so far, in my opinion, was this match. Incredible, incredible match. Happened in the pandemic era, so will always be underrated, but seriously. A hidden gem."

Bronson Reed's fall with Candice Lerae on his shoulders is awesome, and overall this match is filled with incredible spots and everyone had a chance to shine. Not at the level of the divine ladder match at Takeover New Orleans, but still incredible"

[9.0] "These men took a lot of time than expected to find their footing and once it was found, this was a fantastic spot-fest but still didn't cap off the magnum-opus ladder match at New Orleans. However, this was a great match with all the stars looking strong and crisp in their spots. Damian winning was one of the best championship crowning moments of the year because of how hard-working and the way he risen to this level. The celebration he had later in the show was such a badass moment with Triple H presenting one of the greatest "The Point" pictures ever. 4.5 out of 5 stars!"

[4.0] "This match was a big mixed bag. I liked some of it, but it was flawed in the most obvious of ways. This isn't anywhere near the ladder matches from New Orleans or XXV. What i didn't like was how contrived and messy the spots were. Granted, sloppy spots are to be expected from ladder matches but there were way too many of them here. Dream whiffing his kicks, Priest jumping head first into a Gargano superkick, and Gargano looking like he hit his own wife with a ladder are some awkward spots to name a few. I also didn't like the contrived set ups of certain spots like the one where all 5 men were in the corner. Luckily there were some good spots and memorable moments. Some spots i did like were Bronson Reed diving off a ladder with Candace on his back, Grimes' Spanish Fly, Gargano's powerbomb (This spot also wasn't performed smoothly, but i think the lack of precision made the move look even more brutal) and Dream getting knocked off a ladder and getting sent so far he was out of sight from the camera. **1/2"

[8.0] "The MOTN in my opinion . There were numerous enjoyable moments , every spot done perfectly but no attempt was made for the creation of suspense . The selling was also on a lower level and felt like a spot fest . However , I still enjoyed the fast pace of the match and everybody got their offense in to shine as a star . The outcome was well deserved and booking wise a wonderful choice . My favorite spots were Candice interrupting and hitting a hurricarana on Grimes as he landed on everybody to the outside except Gargano , the table bump taken by Dream , the splash from top of the ladder by Bronson with Candice on her back and Priest leaping to the outside with a senton . Still a very good ladder match despite having its weaknesses because I enjoyed this a lot. ****1/4"

These matches are a perfect way to introduce new talent into the scene and this match is a great example of that. Guys like Bronson Reed, Cameron Grimes and Damian Priest get a chance to shine and it results in fun spots and a lot of brutal moves. A perfect popcorn match to watch."

[9.0] "Match of the Night. A great car-crash match with some really interesting spots that broke out of the standard formula used for ladder matches in WWE nowadays. There weren't too many times of guys having to do a feigned leper crawl up the ladder waiting for people to get their cue. The LeRae/Reed splash was great. Pretty sure Cameron Grimes is dead, multiple times over. They got Velveteen's shine section out of the way early and never really focused much on him until his big bump to get rid of him, which was nice. Great character work from all involved, every interaction in the match made sense. Great match, worth your time. 4 1/2 stars."

[9.0] "Best match that I watched post CoVID. This was really great. It went full gear bell to bell and never slowed down. A lot of innovative and creative offense, a lot of dangerous spots but yet they never truly overplayed the spots. Graves in the commentary was out of his depth like he was the whole night and I want to point out that Mauro Ranallo was deeply missed. Thankfully the match was too good and Beth Phoenix and Vic Joseph tried their best to pull up Graves shortcomings. Right man won. ****3/4"

[9.0] "This was a very entertaining, extremely fun to watch match. Everyone had their big moment in the match. Whether it was Velveteen Dream being sent out of the ring and literally out of the sight of the cameras after being shoved off by a ladder, Bronson Reed diving off the top of a ladder with Candice on his back and murdering Johnny Gargano. Cameron Grimes getting sunset flipped right onto the corner of a ladder propped between the ropes and another ladder in which he got sunset flipped off of, Velveteen Dream hitting the Dream Valley Driver on Gargano onto Priest who was on a ladder propped up on the ring and the barricade, Priest emulating Shelton Benjamin and running up a ladder braced on the top rope and flipping to the outside. It was just incredible to watch. And the right man definitely won."

[9.0] "This did exceed my original expectations, It was not the level of the 6 man New Orleans ladder match. But very fun, I'd say on par with the fatal 4 way tag ladder match from nxt uk earlier this year. Bronson Reed looked like a proper star, johnny was a key part of the whole match, cameron grimes bumped like a madman and had some gnarly landings and was arguably the mvp of the match. Velveteen was alright as well but didn't feel on level with everyone else tonight. And Priest. My pick to win comes through, solid performance throughout. The Perfect title for him to hold. Loved the booking leading into this. The payoff was worth it. Solid. ****1/4-****1/2. 4. 4 if I could be precise."
IcehandGino wrote on 23.08.2020:
[9.0] "Very creative ladder match, with a ton of credible false finishes, everyone got their moment and they all really put their bodies on the line for that, this match is also the proof that spot fests are way better with the pseudo-crowd than with pure silence, which was the only weak point of the WrestleMania ladder match. Plus the right guy won, it was too early for Reed and Grimes, Gargano already got his time to shine, Priest was the perfect choice."
