[7.0] "A good match between both teams that really had to fight to get the crowd going into it. LAX and the team of Styles/Daniels worked almost a traditional ladder match philosophy and sprinkled in their insane high spots. The closing stretch definitely hooked the crowd and was a very creative finish with Daniels leaping across the X to be able to win the titles. ***1/4"

[9.0] "This was an awesome Ultimate X match. The best feud that AJ Styles and Christopher Daniels had was against LAX. These two teams had some great chemistry, with AJ and Daniels having the speed advantage, but Homicide could match that and Hernandez had the power. There was some great spots here, but none more crazy than the finish, with Daniels jumping from one of the 4 steel pillars holding up the Ultimate X contraption and landing near the title. That could have gone so wrong, but it looked so great. Definitely a highlight for both team's careers. ****1/4"

[9.0] "The best feud towards this PPV. The spot was on high time, as the crowd. I wish the match could have gone longer cuz it feels shortened by the time. Anyways, one of the best TNA's matches of the year."

Why wouldn't everyone, from this point on, either bring in a ladder like Homicide did, or jump from the scaffold to the middle like Daniels did to quickly win the match? Also, the way they structured their spots forced LAX to no-sell huge moves a lot. Yikes."

[9.0] "A first-time ever Ultimate X tag team match ending in such a successful way between the two best teams of the time is something I'm extremely happy to see, even seventeen years later because it was very ambitious to book something like that, it had never been done before but I think it was the right time to do it and anyway we can say it without blinking an eye now seeing how perfectly it worked. Their Hard Justice match was already good but here it was on a whole other level, the action was fantastic with some wild spots and one of the craziest endings in the history of the company because I think we don't realize how dangerous that Daniels jump was. LAX might have been strong at the time but they didn't stand a chance against the absolute kings of this X-Division stipulation, Styles & Daniels."

Anyways this match was super fun with some crazy and innovative spots. Loved the Cutter from the X rope and the Clash on the table towards the end, ****1/4."

All of these wrestlers had taken some serious bumps during the match. Also, big props to Daniels for that beautiful ending."
