It's not sophisticated or deep comedy but it's genuinely still quite funny and the sheer quantity of ways he comes up with to mess with Styles (and the real comedic acting chops he has) make this a standout comedy match. Wrestling shouldn't be just any one thing, and while this certainly isn't a masterpiece of in-ring ability or storytelling it does what it aims to very well. |

I have no problem with comedy stuff when it's done well and here you can tell it was done well considering the hilarious job Ambrose did, but I'm still not a big fan of this kind of things. It was really cheap and went on too long for what it was, I might not have minded if it had been two or three minutes long but it was clearly dragged out for no good reason, and that's a shame. Ellsworth beat the world champion but didn't come out of it strong, and Styles came out as a true loser. A match that shouldn't have existed, like the presence of Ellsworth in the feud between Styles and Ambrose. |
