[7.0] "This one had a clear and simple build and I am really enjoying Waltmans run in TNA. They obviously had history and early part of the match was the feeling out process as they knew and respected each other before kicking into gear in the stretch with the ongoing story of Lynns injury playing up but commentary saying its a legitimate target too which I liked. I really did not enjoy the other X Division stars coming out onto the ramp, I know they were trying to add extra gravitas but if the person out is Shark Boy then it kind of just looks silly."

[8.0] "Really good sprint between Lynn and Waltman right here which was almost as good as Sean's match with Styles at No Surrender a few weeks before this one, but which wasn't and which is surely underrated because of this roll-up ending which spoiled a bit everything and gave a very flat finish, a match which clearly deserved a better ending much cleaner than this one in my opinion when you see the quality of the action they produced together during fifteen minutes. The story was relevant, the content in the ring was interesting, the crowd was very invested and it was good to see Jerry Lynn at this level again after months without too many good matches of this caliber, as for Waltman he still proved that he has always been a very underrated worker for my taste."

[9.0] "Great match, and I'm glad they did it as it introduced me to their series on the early indies before Waltman had joined WWF as The 1-2-3 Kid. Kid/Waltman/X-Pac and Lynn both made their name in these matches in 1991 and this was a well presented, well worked tribute to that series."
