Bobby Roode & Eric Young vs. Chris Harris & James Storm

[9.0] "This was excellent. I started watching old TNA ppvs (the non-weekly ones) recently and up to this point, this is by far the best match TNA had put on. I liked this better than the elimination tag match that AMW had previously, as this was one of those classic back-and-forth tag team contests. So much back and forth, interference, overcoming finishers, etc. This reminded me of what I fell in love with original TNA, and these four amazing wrestlers."

[9.0] "America's Most Wanted was the best tag team in the world at the time and whatever match they were in was likely to be a highlight of the show. This is no different, held back only slightly by neither Roode nor Young having developed their own respective styles and personalities quite yet, but they both managed to come into their own by the end of the year."

[9.0] "An electric tag team match, leading with a brawl at the bell and seldom slowing from there. Young is like a man possessed here, flopping around violently for the babyfaces, who are red hot in this setting. Roode is steady as ever, a glue guy throughout. The finish is a touch goofy but gets over strong and is certainly well executed, allowing them to stick the landing on an outright thriller otherwise. For my money, this deserves more love among all-time TNA standings, terrific tag team graps. ****1/4"

[8.0] "Any match between these four has a high floor and it was enjoyable stuff but really kicked into gear once all the nonsense started in the run to the finish. Scott D'Amore is just note perfect in his role and adds so much. I ended up loving this."

[9.0] "Great tag team match between America's Most Wanted and Team Canada right here who were the two best representations of strength in this TNA tag division at the time, meeting here and clashing over the company's tag team titles in the middle of this more than average PPV, saved by this match and the one that will follow it on the card. You could feel the hot atmosphere for this match even before the bell rang, Team Canada had some downs at times but nothing beat the heat they got every time in big matches like this, they dominated the match well with a solid chemistry between Roode & Young leading to an incredible hot-tag from Harris. From there it was an exciting sprint until the last second, with a lot of overbooking like TNA & D'Amore used to do back in the day but good overbooking this time, and some very hot action. Lots of suspense, big nearfalls, these last minutes were a breath of fresh air."

[10.0] "This one and AMW/AJ & Daniels at Slammiversary stand out as the two best AMW matches to not involve a gimmick (the two Daniels and Skipper Cage Matches.) A fantastic blending of old school wrestling with the style of wrestling of today. Team Canada would usually have help with interference in matches which might be annoying in the moment but works when it builds up to them getting their comeuppance here. Eric Young especially was having the performance of his life in this one taking some crazy bumps despite having a massive knot on his head. It would be this and his match with Josh Alexander for my picks for his two best performances in his career. They ended up getting more time than planned as well so some sequences toward the end are called on the fly. Im on the fence for whether or not they should have won with the Death Sentence or the way they won worked in the context of the match but that is my one critique of an otherwise fantastic match. Very underrated in the shadow of the Cage match the month before and at least a top 3 or 4 AMW tag. Realistically up there for the best tag matches in the companys history. Id probably go 9.5 but Ill bump to a 10 to bring more awareness to it."

[8.0] "It wouldn't be TNA if there wasn't constant outside interference, a screwjob finish and the constant grating yelling of the announcers and D'Amore. Nevertheless, this was a really good almost old school tag team match and you can't fault the wrestlers."

[8.0] "A wild tag team match that shows that outside interference can actually enhance a match sometimes. The hijinks with Team Canada were super entertaining, and Scott D'Amore was especially entertaining as their manager. America's Most Wanted are a great babyface team as well, and the crowd was super hot throughout all of this."

[9.0] "as close to perfect as you can get, this was an awesome match nad while i understand the finish i would have had them hit the Death Sentace after the chair shot to end the match that would have made it the perfect match for me so its ****3/4 cause i felt it was missing just one thing."

[10.0] "The match was wild brawling at the beginning after AMW sneak attacked team Canada on the stage. Roode and Young got some attacks in but AMW mainly dominated. The crowd loved AMW. AMW had great teamwork. Team Canada gained advantage by cheating which I like because it's smart. Team Canada isolated James Storm and made nice quick tags. I liked how much James Storm got destroyed and sold the beating well. Chris Harris got a great comeback and looked powerful throwing Team Canada around with moves like a full nelson slam, delayed vertical suplex, and scoop powerslam. The crowd was going wild throughout the match and really made it more exciting. I liked when AMW handcuffed Scott D'Amore to stop him from interfering more. It was great when even getting hit by a hockey stick couldn't keep Storm down for the count. The nearfalls at the end were really good. The ending was really good with Johnny Devine hitting Young by accident with the chair and AMW getting the win with a rollup. Awesome match."

[8.0] "This was a great match, and while outside interference and the associated nonsense is usually groan inducing, on this night, it played perfectly into the story of Team Canada's reign as champion and the subsequent end of that reign."

[9.0] "There is always overbooking when Team Canada is involved. In this case it turned out well with a perfect last part of the match. Two great teams in a traditional tag team match, Roode and Storm were already stars, Young played the heel perfectly. Everyone worked well and I believe this match is very underrated for the amazing things that it offers. ****1/2"
