[6.0] "I must admit, I've been enjoying The Equalizer as I make my way through WCW in 1993. I wouldn't try to convince anybody that he is 'talented' by any means, but I think there is room in pro wrestling for a big, lumbering oaf like him. It was definitely the right move to give him a gimmick where his lack of coordination and 'unrefined' technique fits the character, and at the very least I find his awkwardness interesting to watch since I'm never quite sure what's going to happen next. I particularly liked the spot where he slowly winged lethargic punches at Scorpio while getting lit up by a multitude of rapid fire strikes in the process - it gave a nice sense of contrast that I thought worked well. Orndorff is always solid, while the team of Bagwell and Scorpio managed to up the pace of the match and bring some excitement. It's nothing incredible, but this might surprise you by being a little better than it looked on paper."

This is the best match I've ever seen with the Equalizer in it. 2 Cold Scorpio and Buff Bagwell have been a really fun team when I've seen them and I'm glad they got a decent win on PPV here. 2 Cold Scorpio was going crazy in this one."

Orndorff played his heel role perfectly and even Equalizer looked decent, as he didn't have to do much here. Some pretty exciting final minutes and a nice pop for the babyfaces' win."

[7.0] "Marcus and Scorpio were the real WCW phenomena of the early noughties. It was a very typical conflict of two radically opposite sides - old-school heels using various dishonest tricks, and the union of two young and ambitious babyfaces. Crowd was hot, though the match wasn't anything phenomenal, but anyway the wrestlers did their best. Paul was still great in his role, Marcus and Scorpio were responsible for the dynamic, and Equalizer didn't look as terrible. The final sequences deserve special praise. 7 points."

Scorpio and Bagwell were a decent babyface team with Scorpio doing the heavy lifting for in-ring work, but Bagwell also did a decent job getting sympathy when he was in trouble. Orndorff solid as always, great expressions and just tough. Equalizer was not a good wrestler, so take that for what it's worth."

The Equalizer was in control for a large portion of the bout, which nobody wanted to see. The crowd reacted well to Orndorff and constantly mocked him with the 'Paula' chant, but apart from that this was a cold match that went on too long. Not particularly horrible or anything, just boring and heatless. [**]"
