[4.0] "Two of my favorite and what I would give to have had this match ten years earlier. Anyways, this isn't as bad as the rating in terms of the work although the extra circulars were negatives but typical for WCW."
[1.0] "Vicious couldn't do much so this was almost entirely rest holds and interference, the latter of which once again was completely ignored by the referee even though he was directly involved at points. A polar opposite affair from the fun opener on the show and a sign of the ill health of WCW."
[2.0] "There was just nothing to this match to make feel way more interesting or important, Sid was just and in this and Steiner didn't do thing to help it standout either."
[3.0] "Although the first half of the match was slow, it at least included basic wrestling, then the second part turned into an absurd overbooking that blurred the overall impression. Alas, such a nondescript finale of Starrcade's last major PPV year in history."
[6.0] "A decent enough main event for me personally. Pretty basic power vs power type match so the interference, ref bumps and overbooking actually made it more exciting than it would have been otherwise."
[0.0] "Sid looked almost as bad as Luger did in the last match, and Steiner at this point was almost as much of a dull monster as Goldberg. This match was probably worse than their one, just due to the nonsense interference in what wasn't officially a no-DQ match. Awful at any rate."
[0.0] "A horrid match that shows clearly that even though WCW took a bit of a upturn at the end, they still had problems galore. Steiner does more shtick than showing off his power or viciousness, and Sid for all his aura looks like he's lost half the time in there."
[5.0] "Quite entertaining and surprisingly solid up until the end where they really went overboard with the interference and ended up dragging it down. Steiner's schtick was funny here and I enjoyed seeing him get into it with the crowd."
