[8.0] "Great finals match between Juventud and Sabin. They felt like they had worked together for years prior to this match, but as far as I can tell, this was their first match. Well done for both guys."

[10.0] "A diamond in the rough X division match that has great intensity, wheel barrel German suplex and electric chari drop arm capture suplex at the corner just to start, snappy and believable. The early fakeouts lead to the two major counter chain down the stretch of this match went crazy, many callbacks to the previous tournament matches. A lot of unique stuff outside of their normal moveset. Tiger Driver 91 is so crazy, it's no exaggeration that Juvie spikes Sabin on his head with no support at all, Sabin immediately returns a mesmerizing swinging jumping DDT spiking Juvie on his head, this is unreal. Great camera work setting up the rope break false finish of the 450, decisive ending. FUCK YEAH. edit: I swear i watched this match 3-4 times up until now, still unreal."

[9.0] "This was the best match otf the tournament. It felt important, as both competitors gave it all to take the win. I knew that this was going to be good, but not that good. This two have some insane chemistry, shown on the great counters, nearfalls and pin attempts. The first half of the match was decent, with some cool sequences such as the one at the start and some cool moves, such a wheelbarrow german suplex by Sabin. But then they snapped and begun to do some great counters sequences that were insane. I loved the rollups sequence. Usually this kind of spots are done on a lame way and don't add anything to the match, instead here they tried everything and everyone could have been the end of the match. They were done on a great way and at the end of this long sequence they both fall to the ground because of the exhaustion. They make more counters and the hit some cool moves, for example the Guerrera's wheelbarrow bulldog out of nowhere or the double underhook piledriver. Sabin countered a Juvi Driver with a cool DDT. The ending sequence was great, Sabin hits a superplex, both guys try to pin each other at the same time. Them Juvi hits the Juvi Driver and the 450 splash, but Sabin get his foot on the rope on a great nearfall. Sabin recovers and hits the Future Shock to win the tournament. It's a big win for Sabin to elevate his career. Nice performances that portray him as one of the top wrestlers of the company."

[9.0] "That was just incredible. Juventud Guerrera is one of the more overlooked luchadors in recent memory. Seriously, this guy has all the tools, how has he not been a mainstay in one company or another. I know he's well known in Mexico, but how did a company like New Japan completely miss him, especially since he spent some time in Noah, which he was only in for a couple of years. Chris Sabin somehow was ridiculously good at this point, which is insane considering he'd only been wrestling for a couple of years. There were a lot of great spots, but the one that stuck out was the Tiger Driver. Sabin got spiked right on the top of his head, how did he not break something. They definitely laid in their shots, which is why I think makes this match even better. One of the best matches of both men's careers. ****1/2"

[9.0] "Damn wild match between Sabin and Guerrera right here which, let's put it in context, was something absolutely incredible and so innovative for the time, now you feel like you see matches like that all the time but at the time it wasn't the case at all and the early days of TNA's X-Division (as well as WCW's Cruiserweight division) democratized it all in the country. Up to the point of offering us totally crazy matches like this one which, even twenty years later, hasn't aged a bit and is still a tremendous classic, maybe one of the wildest TV matches ever I'm not afraid to say it because look at the bumps these guys take during fifteen minutes as well as the spots they do, of a crazy execution & fluidity. When two great wrestlers put their creativity to good use, this is what you get, insane stuff."

[8.0] "Awesome match. They did a great job of putting slight twists on otherwise often seen spots - like the very different (and more aggressive) lead in to the stereo dropkick spot, or the way they sold dizziness after the repeated pinfall reversal sequence. It helped to bring my life to their exchanges instead of things just feeling like a routine. Similarly, they did well making all the reversals (of which there were many) feel like a struggle instead of overly cooperative. The double underhook piledriver was brutal, and it is a miracle that Sabin's neck wasn't broken. The entire match had a physicality to it that I really liked, and that we don't often see in matches of this style. I do think the finish probably could have had a better lead in, as it was a little abrupt and felt strange considering how much high impact offence Sabin had been on the receiving end of, but that is just nitpicking. Definitely a match worth checking out."

[9.0] "Awesome match! Fast-paced, lots of reversals, and reversals of reversals, near-falls, etc. One of the best matches in TNA history, for sure. Juvy hits a modified Tiger Driver '98 (? ) that is just fucking brutal. Rest of the match is close to stellar. ****1/2."
