And in this case, such a good depiction of it too, through the stuff I've come to expect from Quack and Kidd: tight holds, clever counters, constant pin attempts and just enough gamesmanship to keep things alive. And guess what? They DON'T have to take big bumps every five seconds to do it. Instead, they tell a simple story of going from respectful sporting to something a little more heated, which is always a neat story to tell. Of course, a good story needs good characters, and I really love how both men are portrayed here. Quack's the devoted student trying to match wits with the master, whilst Kidd always seems one step ahead, always targeting the weaknesses (especially the wrist) of Quack whenever the opportunity appears. And their facial expressions and body language sell the subtle weardown to give the draw a satisfying sense of closure, and this match is an AMAZING send-off for Kidd... y'know, before he returned and even had another match with Quackenbush... whatever. ****1/4"

A true masterpiece of mat wrestling, covered in refined psychology, with a demonstration of how to undermine the opponent's submissions, sometimes in a simple way, sometimes in a more complex way. Absolutely a feast for the eyes."
