[7.0] "A wild and chaotic multi-man match. Much like the original match that decided the X Division champion, the nature of the match structure is a little odd, but the elimination format that decides the contender's list works a lot better all things considered, and is booked smartly enough to have Jerry Lynn out early but in protected fashion so they can delay the Styles-Lynn blowoff. Solid amounts of action, never quite going over the top into true greatness but high-paced and exciting all the same. Also I do love Lo-Ki, as long as he's not being a total asshole as he so often ended up doing."

We also get another interesting development in the Lynn-Styles story, as Jerry is eliminated first and ends up last in line for the X-Division title. Skipper has some nice moments, Romeo gets over well with his work, and the final encounter between Daniels and Low Ki is the highlight of the bout."

I thought it was pretty dumb that they made Jerry Lynn get eliminated first though since like they're starting a feud with AJ so they should keep him strong."

I will say the rules of this are a little silly, but I would expect nothing less from this promotion. It's still very interesting that Jerry Lynn got eliminated first here, but it was actually a good story beat. This was the debuts of Tony Marmaluke, Kid Romeo, Elix Skipper, and most importantly the "Fallen Angel" Christopher Daniels. Daniels and Low-Ki was a fantastic choice for the last two. I hope Elix was okay after this match, he was knocked loopy for a minute at a spot."

Jerry Lynn's elimination with a countout is just outrageous, because earlier in the dive sequence he wasn't counting. I didn't like Mameluke here, really slow and sloppy. Skipper was fantastic and is a guy that i'm looking forward to see most. Romeo didn't do much for me. Low Ki vs Daniels was a dissapointment, just a secuence of moves, without any storyline, as in ROH at this time, that were building their rivalry really well. Daniels was the best for me."

Like I said it was pretty long and I don't think it really needed to be longer than twenty minutes but at least it showed the importance the company gave to these wrestlers even if they weren't around the main event scene, I liked all the action we saw and it was pretty shocking not to see anyone eliminated until the first ten minutes given the booking of the promotion at that time. I didn't really understand Jerry Lynn's elimination, I think he was injured or something, I loved Mamaluke's performance which I discovered and enjoyed, and I especially loved that intense final between Low-Ki and Daniels."

Low Ki? s offence were a thing of beauty. Shame the rest of the match is so shitty. Poor pacing for the most part, complete clusterfuck and disinteresting. *3/4"
