[8.0] "Incredibly well structured and well sold. Really good action and with a finish that comes out of nowhere, in the best way"

Good wood to fuel this rivalry In-ring quality: 1/4. Stakes: 1.5/2. Justification: 1/1. Place on the card: 0.75/1. Suspense: 1/1. Bonus/Malus: none. Total: 6.25/10. Match seen on the WWE Network."

[6.0] "This turns on the gimmick that the Bulldogs want to regain their titles, robbed from them just recently, but because the first fall is a Bulldog win by disqualification, their win in the second fall doesn't give them the titles. It's (un)surprisingly bitty and scrappy, very much mapped around interference and ringside antics, all the way from the introductions where Matilda the bulldog attacks Jimmy. Both Davey Boy and Dynamite play the face in peril for a Fall each, and Davey Boy gets some sharp dropkicks and a lovely vertical suplex in. There are some team-up manoeuvres - Dynamite throws Davey Boy on to Neidhart for the win in the 2nd fall, Neidhart sets Davey Boy up on his knee for Bret to finish the Backbreaker by jumping on to him. This is fine, entertaining, pacey, but nothing remarkable. 3/5"

Everyone looks good here, even if there is a little bit too outside the ring work for my liking. First fall was soft but Davey Boy looked good going into the second. Jimmy Hart really played his part here."

[7.0] "A very solid little tag bout here between probably the two best teams in this company at the time. This may have scored a little higher for me had it not been for the DQ finish getting in the way of the titles switching hands. The British Bulldogs did end up with the win here."

[6.0] "Lots of exciting action although two major issues that prevent it being considered a really good match. 1. Dynamite Kid is clearly not at 100% still and struggles throughout the match. If he was at full strength, it's a much better match and there's less need to cover him up. 2. The DQ finish on fall one, should not result in the belts being unable to change hands. The rule has never worked like that. I've never, ever seen it applied like that beforehand or afterwards in the WWF or anywhere else. It's a bizarre decision. Otherwise they had a lot of fun moving parts and kept it fresh."

[8.0] "A great match between two of the best teams from the Golden era of the WWF. The DQ stipulation is so dumb since it happened in the first fall, but I don't make the rules. They got a pinfall in the second fall and that's really all that should have mattered. The additions of Tito Santana and Danny Davis outside of the ring was a welcome addition to the formula that needed a little bit of a change."

[8.0] "28/4/87 Saturday Night's Main Event WWF. Good tactic from the Harts to get a DQ on first fall but give a merciful beaten, they didn't count on the Bulldogs being the big cheaters they are, Dynamite Kid was way off his corner when tagged in. Very good high octane intense match, flowing with great psychology and a hot crowd. A few negative minors and a confusing aftermath to the finish as everyone thought the Bulldogs had reclaimed the belts. Bulldogs showing off their great explosive power and the Hart Foundation always a great heel team, especially with Neidhart who was a natural heel and these four were always dynamic in the ring, with Danny Davis and Jimmy Hart on the outside. 7.5*"

Maybe I just overhyped the match for myself, but it left me feeling disappointed. **1/2"

[8.0] "Really great match. Probably the best you can ask for in a sub ten mins match. Everything was crisp, hard hitting, and everybody worked hard. The finish was honestly lame and doesn't make any sense whatsoever, but the rest was some great tag team action from two of the best teams of all time. One of my favorite Harts/Bulldogs matches. [8.0] "This was, of course, a great match. This is what they should have done at Wrestlemania. If Dynamite's back was in better shape then it could have been even better, but even then he gave a great performance here, everyone did. Almost every time these two teams wrestled you knew you were getting something good. An easy recommendation."

[8.0] "Great match, stupid finish. Everyone looks good in this match but the star is Dynamite. He's a great hot tag and his selling during the second fall is tremendous, the bloody nose only helps his performance. Bret and Anvil really make the Bulldogs shine too, Davey does an incredible running dropkick where he somehow lands on his feet and an impressive suplex on Neidhart. The finish itself is really good, perfectly executed and the crowd go wild but the rule that makes them not win the title is ridiculous and the first time I saw it."
