Fuchi's already a better top junior for AJPW than Onita was (and I say that as someone who liked junior Onita), and while Sato's a bit out of place I didn't think he detracted from anything. And as I've seen, the patterns Mascaras can get into that detract from his matches at times are mitigated when he's tagging with his brother. And I liked the stuff he had with Fuchi here, so there. This could've been helped with a hotter crowd, but it had the disadvantage of being a midcard match in the historically upper-card focused AJPW, so I think this was more a case of audience conditioning than anything wrong with the match. **1/2-3/4 range, but despite that I have a positive view of the match. Mascaras wins with a diving crossbody to Sato. |
