Kane vs. The Great Khali

[3.0] "While I enjoyed the build and it is a fascinating sight to see, the match just wasn't very good. It wasn't atrocious but it was pretty lacklustre. I also didn't see the point of having the hook only be used to do a low blow. The big moment of Kane slamming Khali was quite epic though and got a pop from me so it gets points for at least having a memorable moment. It also helped give Khali a big win over a monster setting him up for his title feud going forward."

[1.0] "Boring and slow. I feel sorry for Kane having to work Khali in this one I'm sure there were better choices to wrestle in this one."

[1.0] "Boring, slow, and plodding. Neither of these guys can work, they're just big. Which is probably why Vince thought this would be worth a spot on mania, it wasn't."

[3.0] "3 points only because Kane shows what an absolute beast he was in slamming Khali with relative ease. That one moment along with the short length made this bearable. It is far from good, though. Kane is trying to put Khali over the whole match, but you can't get over with as limited an offense as Khali had. Even IF every person you are in the ring with does backflips to make you look good. Kane might as well have worked this match alone with an invisible opponent, because he could have taken the same bumps by himself. Really bad match, but fortunately one decent moment and a very short length."

[2.0] "* (02/10) God, I wish I could've skipped the next match. Okay, fine, go ahead and say that I'm exaggerating. But watch it for yourself. Afterwards, tell me what you think when the five and a half minutes are over. Honestly, this belonged on Mania III instead of the show it was booked on."

[1.0] "Due to the obvious reasons it couldn't lead up to the banger. Not a Wrestlemania-format match at all. Piss break."

[0.0] "I still don't understand why this match exists. Kane isn't particularly great here, and Khali being Khali was immobile. And all they did was stand and grab each other's neck all the time. Honeslty a waste of time"

[4.0] "Kane's equivalent of Taker's Gonzalez match, though I don't find it nearly as egregious. It's slow, plodding and a waste of time but Kane tries all he can with the immobile Khali and the match isn't horribly structured. Naff, but not as offensive as others make out"

[1.0] "I hated this match, nothing about it worked. Kane lost clean to a man that can barely move, and they tried to make Kane slamming Khali be symbolic of Hogan slamming Andre, but Kane is maybe 100 pounds lighter than Khali and we all knew how strong he is. Aged horribly too as Kane is a HOF legend and Khali became a comedy act within years."

[7.0] "7/10: im so sorry, i just had to give it an unexpected rating because it was one of my dream matches, was good with chain moment, kane looking like rey mysterio, but it shouldve been more competitive considering kanes powers."

[0.0] "Absolutely nothing good to be said about this match, the in ring work was horrible and Great Khali had no business being in a singles match on a WrestleMania one bit."

[0.0] "They left Ric Flair off this card to make space for this shit (yes Id rather watch 100 year old Flair then Great Khali, that should say all you need to know) the match with the Wish.com version of Hogan slamming Andre at Mania 3, except the man slamming Khali doesnt even win, so is there even a reason to watch it?"

[4.0] "Khali sucks, but it wasn't that bad. I hate Kane as a babyface, but he knows how to work as an underdog and the Bodyslam to Khali was very impressive. They kept it short, so they didn't have a chance to bore the audience and overexpose Khali, so I didn't mind it."

[3.0] "This one was pretty brutal to watch and points to Kane for working hard. Not sure what the point of Kane getting out the hook that his character from the movie "See No Evil" used to murder people and Khali has to be one of the worst wrestlers I can think of in WWE history I understand he's an attraction but holy cow. 2 stars at best."

[3.0] "I get that this match was solely put in the card to recreate the Andre/Hogan slam from Mania 3, but that's kinda a lame excuse to put something this dull on WrestleMania. It was sorta a rehash of Khali's Judgement Day match with Taker but not as effective or convincing in its delivery. Plus, after already seeing how dominant he can be, why did we need to see Khali squash Kane? Usually guys go from Kane to Taker but Khali went in reverse. I guess the hook spot with a "See No Evil" reference was cool. I don't think this is as bad as its average rating would suggest but it ain't good."

[4.0] "I'm rating it based off what it's meant to be. That is an attraction match between two 7ft tall giants on the grandest stage of them all. The story they told was that not even someone with the size, strength, and power of Kane could match up to the 7'3", 420 lbs behemoth known as The Great Khali. As was evident by Khali shutting down/being unphased by all of Kane's heavy strikes throughout the match, Khali kicking out of a low blow with a chain/ big body slam spot from Kane, and one move of Khali's having the impact of about 3 moves in a row from Kane. That played in to the finish as well."

[0.0] "This is one of the worst matches in Wrestlemania History. The Great Khali proved in this match that he cannot even wrestle. Nothing to say about this one"

[5.0] "I'll break the streak and say that I think this isn't nearly as bad as made out. It's not good wrestling sequences but the story is fine, the match was short, and Kane slamming Khali was a fun moment. They never lost the crowd throughout as well. Overall, if you enjoy big monsters hitting each other, this was okay."

[3.0] "This was not *that* bad but yeah it wasn't good either. The use of the chain and Kane bodyslamming Khali was somewhat cool and it wasn't that long - *1/2"

[1.0] "What a slog to get through. Khali is so slow in the ring, and can't make a match interesting to save his life. Kane on the other hand is getting past his prime. Apart from the slam, this match is just a snooze fest. At least the crowd reacted to the slam, and the match was over within 5 minutes. Still one of the worst WrestleMania matches of all time."

[1.0] "This was not a surprise but this match was incredibly awful. Every move was impactless, it was 5 minutes only and fortunately, but 5 horrible minutes. Even more, we had some overbooking to bring us a Low Blow, and the Low Blow was not even useful to the match. 0. 5 stars."

[2.0] "Yeah, don't expect any 450s from these two! Khali did all the big man spots competently enough. Kane tries to use a hook in reference to the character he played in See No Evil. The body slam that Khali took was his only bump of the match and it was a nice callback to Hulk/Andre. Nowhere near as horrendous as its reputation will have you to believe, this was a short freak show bout designed to give Khali a big win over a well-established name."

[1.0] "Yeah I think everyone knew this match wasn't going to be very good. The only reason it gets a 1 is because it was short at the least."
