[7.0] "Felt a bit overlong, especially once it got to a three-on-one situation with "Hacksaw" Jim Duggan trying to fight from underneath. Can't be too hard on a match where Randy Savage and Bret Hart got to go up against each other for an extended stretch, though."
[5.0] "I think this is perfectly rated, because even though the match it's not one for a high rating, each one had his moment to get over with the crowd a good duration and I think that it's fine even though It wasn't perfect, 5/10 [***]"
[5.0] "This was not a good match. Too many survivors, Dino Bravo, and Hacksaw Jim Duggan were some of the things that made me hate it. Bret Hart, Ronnie Garvin, and Randy Savage were good, but not enough to save this match from boring me to death."
[6.0] "This was a fun match between seven guys that I really like... and Hacksaw. It annoyed the shit out of me that he still couldn't lose clean here."
[6.0] "This one pulled me back into this show, I actually enjoyed this one. Some pretty good teams here I think; Jim Duggan is easily the weak link of this whole match and he's the face team captain. This was in the middle of the Ronnie Garvin/Greg Valentine feud so there was some fun with that here. It is kinda weird seeing Randy Savage here separated from Hulk Hogan with everything going on in the main event scene but I thought it worked out well."
[5.0] "This match would have been WORLDS worse if not for Bret Hart and Savage. They were both the glue to their respective teams, and it's surprising to think that this was the ONLY time in a PPV setting besides Royal Rumbles where these two were in the ring with each other at the same time. Considering how the most electric the fans were during this match was when they got in the ring together for the first time, you'd have thought they'd have put them in a singles program together. But I guess Bret was still seen as a 'tag team' guy for another year or two. I also appreciate Earthquake's bumping and selling in this match. It's all too easy for guys his size to never take a bump and no-sell everything, but 'Quake bumps and sells very appropriately. Overall a decent match that probably would have been way worse if not for two generals being in there."
[4.0] "Just was not feeling that one at all. Not exciting at all and then the ending was lackluster even for a WWE Pay-per-view in the 80s. Sure there was a little amount of story telling but it was in disservice of the in-ring action in my opinion. Not the worst but bad"
[5.0] "Slightly more entertaining than the first match, mostly thanks to Bret and Savage, wish they had more ring time. Earthquake was a good addition, Garvin and Valentine were solid enough but Bravo and Duggan make things slow down too much for me. Probably would've been a 6 if it didn't end with a count out though"
[6.0] "I thought this was much better than the opener. There was a more interesting combination of different styles, and the babyface team felt more in sync with each other as they made use of a few fun double team spots. Bret and Garvin were much better choices to be the workhorses of the match than Beefcake was in the opener. I actually thought Duggan did quite well fighting off the heels by himself, too. I could picture people disliking the finish, but I thought it was fine for the era and was both realistic (in that there was no melodrama or unbelievable comeback) and worked for an underhanded heel victory in a midcard match."
[5.0] "It was a better match than the opener, but ruined by the finish. Duggan won't let anyone pin him but he wants to last the most out of the babyface group, so we end up with a count out finish, which was so unclimactic. Whenever Bret or Randy were in the ring the action rapidly got better, but overall the 4v4 format still didn't win me over."
[5.0] "The baby faces run in with 2x4's and if this was the Attitude Era Russo Booking, they probably would have had the baby faces use them on the heels and immediately get DQ'D for a crappy comedy spot segment. Barry Windham was supposed to be on the Kings Court Team but he left weeks earlier because of family legal issues and his replacement is the Canadian Earthquake. Definitely an upgrade. Nothing of note until Hitman and Savage tease us with making this a 3 star or above match, then it ends up being Duggan against Savage, Bravo and Quake and they need Sherri to beat Duggan by count out? Weakest match of the show. 2 1/2 stars out of 5. This was pretty much a squash for the heels. They were still teasing the Bret Hart singles push at this point but they wouldn't pull the trigger for another year and a half."
[3.0] "Sure this match had its moments, such as the brief interactions between Savage and Bret or Valentine and Garvin, but overall this was quite forgettable. The fact that it featured pretty much the exact same dynamic as the previous match (one member of a team left alone against three from the other) didn't help either. I didn't like this one that much, I'm afraid. [*1/2]"
[5.0] "Pretty boring for the most part but Bret/Savage did some good work and enjoyed the 3 on 1 dynamic for Duggan at the end... shame they chose to do such a lame finish!"
[5.0] "Another solid enough match, I find these things difficult to rate since there's always plenty of action in these matches, but often the choice of wrestlers leaves a lot to be desired. Like in this one you had Hart and Savage being their usual great selves, but everyone else didn't really bring all that much. But then you had Duggan and Bravo last until the end when the match would have been better if they'd been gone early on. Overall it's solid, but there's too much dragging it down."
[7.0] "Enjoyable Survivor Series match, though I wouldn't call it one of the best. The talent involved is pretty good, with a few exceptions such as my personal nemesis Duggan, who of course goes all the way to the end over his more interesting team mates."
