[4.0] "As many of the comments here have said, the match is rather anecdotal, not to say bad, and what makes it so interesting is Jesse Ventura's last presence in the ring, as well as the rather mediocre conclusion to this Saturday night rivalry. In-ring quality: 0.25/4. Stakes: 0.5/2. Justification: 1/1. Place on the card: 0.75/1. Suspense: 1/1. Bonus/Malus: none. Total: 4.5/10. Match seen on WWE Network."
[5.0] "Nothing special really here, though it's cool to see Ventura, Piper & Orton team up The Hillbilly's don't really do much for me. 2.5 stars at best."
[5.0] "Pretty sure this is the only Jese Ventura match I have ever seen. Considering who is in this match it is pretty entertaining and that is all thanks to the crowd heat which as per usual for this era is great. Added bonus of Bobby Heenan on commentary."
[3.0] "I'm really tired of the Hillbillies on these shows. This match wasn't for me; I didn't enjoy this, despite the heels trying. Cousin Luke and Uncle Elmer both suck and I can't wait for them both to disappear. It is cool to see Jesse Ventura return to action here; while saying that, he was definitely the weakest part of the heel time."
[5.0] "This was the first match I ever watched live as it aired. Even as a kid, I loved Piper. This match, however, hasn't aged as well as I remember it being. I don't feel like Cousin Luke brought anything that Junior didn't to the group, but they weren't all that great to begin with...Uncle Elmer couldn't really keep up with PIper in the match, but I think Piper's team winning was the right call."
[5.0] "This was honestly better than I expected. Especially considering "The Hillbillies" were the baby faces. Jesse Ventura did a good job selling early on too. Oh man though Cousin Luke's time in the ring was just plain rough. Though all together that's worth a 5/10 mostly for the shock that this match wasn't awful."
[5.0] "A classic three-on-three fight about which it's hard to say anything. If I'm not mistaken it's the finale between the Hillbillies and the Piper team. I really liked the way the heels looked in this match, as I thought they were the ones pulling this match off at the right level, the interactions, their antics, in many ways that's what helped to watch this match. I'm glad it was Piper's team that won, as I thought it was the right choice. Otherwise, nothing remarkable, so you can safely skip this match, but if you like Piper and his stuff, you can watch this match at least once."
[5.0] "Complete carry job by the heels here, so massive props to them for being able to get something solid out of these three awful wrestlers. They stick to the formula well enough and was able to have a pretty enjoyable match given the low bar. [**1/2]"
[5.0] "Can only do so much when you're up against Hillbilly Jim and the rest of the family, especially when two of them are absolutely awful in the ring, good job by the heels to make it half decent"
[4.0] "I think it's a testament to just how good the heel team were here that this match didn't completely suck. I mean when the best wrestler on one side is Hillbilly Jim, you don't exactly have a lot to work with. I'd still not recommend watching this one, unless you want to see just how good a carry job this was by Piper and co."
[3.0] "Vince's weird obsession with hillbillies is running wild here. Maybe it's something from his childhood, but he seemed to think hillbillies were hilarious and had a whole ton of them at one point. Bob Orton is the best wrestler in the match, though Piper brings the energy as always. Also notable for Heenan's first piece of WWF commentary."
