[8.0] "Really enjoyable match here, particularly the second half. I think the crowd was deflated at the start because of Goldberg not only being pulled from the match, but also getting a 30 day suspension. It does come to life though once RVD was in the figure four submission hold with the weird timing for the commercial break. Please stop doing that WWE. Evolution take full advantage of the situation by isolating RVD and tagging in frequently, getting the crowd really behind HBK on the apron. Shawn Michaels was really getting back to his best and was easily the most consistent performer on the show and his comeback spot and surprising win was really great to watch and just had a really good dramatic feel to it. HBK established himself as the top contender, finally getting us out of the pit of underwhelming Goldberg vs Triple H matches."

[7.0] "The work before the 1st commercial break overall is pretty good, but the crowd just did not care for this at all and as a result, this had like no heat. Luckily once we came back from the 1st back the crowd is really into this, I thought all of Flairs interactions with RVD/Michaels in this were great. I was pleasantly surprised when Michaels pinned Triple H here.***1/2"

[6.0] "This match gets off to a rough start with a flat crowd, but it gets much better after they inexplicably cut to commercial right as RVD is threatening to tap out to the Figure Four. The crowd follows suit and gets hot toward the end, capped by a particularly cool finishing sequence between Triple H & HBK. Jim Ross is great on the call."

I was expecting heel interference for the win so when Shawn Michaels hit the sweet chin music to pin Triple H I was genuinely surprised. It's a Good Raw match for fans of Triple H and Evolution."

[9.0] "There's something about handicap matches that depart from the many vs. 1 formula that I like. I feel like there's a more strategic element to it, and 3 on 2 fits the bill nicely. Looking at those involved you know there's going to be some very good stuff here as well, and there was. After mentally reliving the horrors of 99-00 WCW with Flair, it's nice to think of him settled into a role like this."
