[2.0] "Again the match itself isn't that terrible in general, yes it's bad and Roddy Piper is absolutely washed but the overbooking REEKS of desperation. I mean from beginning to end we have interference, dirty heel tactics, repetitive sequences and a terrible ending with Buff Bagwell costing the DQ and then Roddy turning heel out of nowhere undermining this feud that's been happening for the past two months! UGHHHH! WCW? Bischoff! Why! I mean it's as FUCKED as the last one! [*1/4]"
[0.0] "Neither man in this match cared in this match whatsoever with their in ring work being absolutely terrible and the interferences and ending being just awful."
[2.0] "This match inexplicably had some really good crowd reactions, even though most of it consisted of Piper throwing some of the worst punches youll ever see. The finish was hot garbage as well, and smelt of them not wanting to pick a proper winner so they just went with the lame DQ instead. DQs are what you use to advance a feud, not end them!"
[1.0] "The match is pretty bad, cheating-filled, and a boring slog to get through, but it isn't until the finish that it gets hilariously bad. A babyface gets Piper DQ'd for no reason, and then Piper turns heel on a dime for no reason, and I just spent eight minutes watching this tripe for no reason. 1/2*"
[1.0] "This was an embarrassment on so many levels. Like two drunk uncles fighting at the end of a wedding. Roddy Piper starts this by spitting at Flair lots even though I think he is meant to be the babyface? Piper had no business being in a ring at this point, just awful. The finish makes zero sense. I am giving it a point for an Arn spinebuster and Ric's arse getting exposed for a comedy amount of time."
[1.0] "So Flair is challenging for Pipers presidency I guess. Piper starts out and does his eye poke/punch routine until Flair gives him a low blow then throws him outside for Arn to beat on. Piper grabs the trunks and we get an extended video shot of Flair's ass, amazing.......I figured the camera would of cut to the other side of the arena until he fixed them. Flair gets the figure four and Bagwell makes the save and Piper attacks Bagwell and is now buddies with Flair and Arn. What a lump of muck this was! 1/2 star. Oh wait....Flair retains the preidency so apparently he won it back from Piper somewhere in between Slamboree and this show. Who cares anymore?"
[1.0] "Truly a putrid match, with two guys well over the hill, and not protected in anyway, with what is the most nonsense ending on the card, and the Sting match ended with dogs attaching him off camera."
[0.0] "Roddy Piper is my favorite wrestler, and I agree that Rick Flair is undoubtedly one of the greatest stars of industry. But both of them had number of just disgusting matches in WCW and this one was one of them. Storyline was pretty interesting, but the match itself, although at first it seemed not that poor, was one of this dark spots in their careers, not least because of the result and age of performers."
[1.0] "Two doddering old men have a doddering old match, without any feel for the stakes. The fundamentals are visibly there, but their bodies are barely able to do anything. Especially Piper, who at this point should be in a wheelchair rather than in a match to determine the control of WCW. Arn and Asya, despite just being there to interfere, somehow provide the best work of this match. Finish is silly as Bagwell shows up to aid Piper, gets him DQ'd, but then Piper and Flair both kill Bagwell."
[0.0] "Piper was so far past the point of being able to work it wasn't even funny, Flair just phoned it in, and they couldn't be bothered to book a proper ending."
[0.0] "Flair was in his default comedy mode, Piper in his actual default mode, this did not feel like the type of match to warrant such high stakes. And the finish was... something else..."
[0.0] "Amazing that 7-8 years before, these two were having great matches. This is just putrid, Bagwell (because that guy sure is money, right? ) comes out to help Piper but Flair and Piper end up joining up to beat up Bagwell for no possibly explainable reason in defiance of everything that happened before this."
