[7.0] "In 2015, John Cena and Rusev brought international disputes into the WWE arena. Their long-standing rivalry, to varying degrees, deepened their personas. Cena's patriotism perfectly aligned with the official ideology of the United States, while Rusev, through a series of matches, almost became a Russian without enemies. However, in 2016, the Russian changed his nationality (perhaps in 2015? ) and became Bulgarian. To some extent, this match transcended international disputes and evolved into a "historical confrontation, " akin to the Cold War between the Warsaw Pact and NATO (not forgetting that Bulgaria was also a member of the Warsaw Pact). This match was bound to evoke memories, and for WWE, it was not about writing a "history of oblivion, " but rather a "history of commemoration." Through commemoration, it awakened national memories. WWE's commemorative choice of this event was intriguing, as it conformed to the power structure while satisfying public opinion. WWE successfully turned the ring into a "land of memory, " attempting to awaken collective memory. At the match's conclusion, seeing Cena plant the flag undoubtedly evoked the image of Armstrong (the first human to land on the moon). NATO, at this point, had surpassed the Warsaw Pact, the Soviet Union, in the space race. This match aimed to express a perfect history of commemoration. For me, the meaning of this match transcended the event itself, and through Cena establishing a monument to the 1969 American moon landing, it was indeed a strategic move."

[2.0] "Two workers making their PPV returns, and they're shoved into this hokey stipulation in front of a crowd that's been killed by mediocrity for most of this show. For 20 whole minutes. John Cena matches in 2017 do not need to go that long. This was slow enough that it would have been considered plodding by 80s standards (and the 80s is where a flag match truly belongs). The finish teases just didn't work. The table spot was like putting a hat on a hat, except instead of the first hat, it's a bag of trash. Avoid."

[2.0] "We go into the match knowing Cena will win. A Flag Match has never had the potential to be a good match, let alone in 2017. Who cares who takes their flag to the top of the ramp. An international football match produces far more excitement than such a gimmick match. At times it was so bad that I found it funny how they fought over two flags. Rusev and Cena have put out decent matches in the past, maybe this one had the potential to be okay too, although I'm exaggerating, but it should have been 12 minutes max, not 21! There were a few times when WWE left the impression that Rusev could win, but who else falls for that. Let's just say the ending sequence "saved" the match. Rusev comes out of the match badly. Why WWE?"

The audience is already definitely tired of the confrontation between the two worlds, which could have worked in full measure in the 80s and 90s. I feel sorry for Rusev, because in the matches against Sina he was often made a complete fool somewhere, and Sina was a constantly prevailing superhero."
