[1.0] "One of those matches that just gets worse and worse each time, plus it's downright boring. The actual rules to the match were weird and having a Punjabi Prison match without Khali just felt ridiculous. I get that he couldn't compete, but just scrap the match entirely at that point. Awful stuff all around. Undertaker from 2004-2006 was doing a LOT of crap like this, sadly."
[0.0] "The Punjabi Prison is one of the worst stipulations in wrestling history, every single one of those matches was terrible and this was no exception. Why this was more than 20 minutes long I'll never know. [DUD]"
[3.0] "This match just does not work. It has the same issue as War Games in that the first half means very little as they can't win in the ring and have to get out and THEN get out again so it just makes it a bit boring. They should of just done a remodelled Steel cage. At least they tried something i guess. As expected this was not on the level of their match before this on ECW, this was slow and plodding with no real heat. The best moment was the superplex which looked good. The final few minutes was where the real action happened, it was solid and they did the best they could in the limitations. Finish was underwhelming as Undertaker kind of won i guess. Not a good match, not total disaster but close to it."
[4.0] "Big Show is so fucking good that he made this dogshit match stipulation decent just with good character work/selling. The way he looks fearful during Taker's entrance, the bits of a heat segment he got, the bladejob, the insane way he sold the loss on the ramp post-match. Taker was horrible here, especially his striking in the first half of the match, right up until that pretty sick leg drop through the table. The finish was a spot that looked cool in a vacuum but immediately made the premise of the stip worthless since they didn't have to climb over the second structure (also Taker nearly just climbed over the second by transferring from the first making the door gimmick worthless too). If Khali was in this over Big Show as originally advertised this would've been five times as bad. **"
[4.0] "By far the best Punjabi Prison match of the three, and it still isn't really anything special. The structure is really impressive looking, and both of these men are trying as hard as they can to get the stipulation over. They both bleed, and they do a massive superplex spot which is the highlight of the whole thing. Big Show especially was thrown in here to replace Khali with what must have been pretty short notice. However, the door stipulation was stupid to start. They try and make a creative moment out of it with Show locking Taker in, but Taker climbs out almost immediately, which makes it pretty pointless. They use the outside area between the two cages very little, and the finish sucks with Taker busting through the side rather than climbing over. Big Show has really bad luck with people falling through cages on his watch considering how his WWF debut went. The whole thing is very slow paced and a little bit too long too. It isn't an unwatchable match, and I wouldn't even call it a bad match. They did what they could, and it turned out to be okay. In fact, I imagine this is better than it would have been if Khali actually wrestled considering how the one versus Batista went. But people were expecting Taker to get revenge on Khali here, and people were expecting a lot more out of a debuting 'cage'-type match. It's a decent match, but it let down expectations and had a substitution that soured it."
[5.0] "The creativity regarding the second half and the finish of the match made up for a slow start and a pretty silly stipulation on paper. It wasn't as bad as I was dreading, and both men looked decent in the match. Had Khali been in this match and not Show, it'd have probably been an unmitigated disaster."
[6.0] "This is not a bad match, this match is actually really fun. It should have been maybe 5-8 minutes shorter but it doesn't deserve this bad of a reputation. Honestly Big Show getting added last minute is probably a good thing"
[7.0] "I honestly like this match. When I first watched this match years ago I thought the structure was awesome looking and it still does look cool (maybe not as cool and ominous as when I was a kid but still). The Big Show throwing Taker back into the cage was smart on his part and the finish was quite a cool spot. This match could have been a lot worse if it was Taker and Great Kahli was in it. Big show may not be the best in history but he played his part of being scared and then turned cocky. It telegraphed the outcome that it was not for the ECW title but still. One final thing, that battle cry that Big Show gave right before they cut to the next backstage segment was really funny to me."
[4.0] "I'm not complaining about Big Show replacing Khali, but it's the second match on this card that had a different wrestler than advertised. They did what they could, but this stipulation is so ass that you can't make it that exciting. They had a nice spot of Wight trapping Taker in the first cage, but the whole bout was going on forever."
[6.0] "Bizarre and curious new structure, pretty entertaining match and the best part: amazing JBL commentary, he was really on fire at this point ! The Big Show and Undertaker gave us a solid match "King Kong vs Godzilla" style. I'm kinda suprised by such a low rating."
[8.0] "Ridiculous to call this a boring match. They get over a unique and relatively intricate match gimmick very well (better than the first HIAC gets over the HIAC gimmick! ), the pace is never bad, the violence and general nastiness is obvious, and it has a good finish that protects the loser. A match that really couldn't have done anything to make some people to like it, but it delivers on its promises."
[6.0] "Unlike everyone, I liked this match. Very entertaining encounter, Undertaker is putting on a good work and Big Show is pretty good on this one. Good spots if you take the strange stipulation. No botch, not boring, no ankward moments. 6.00 feels fine for this match"
[1.0] "A match I would recommend to anyone who suffers from insomnia...and to anyone who wants to shit on wrestling. NOTHING works. It's all messy, confusing, slow and so fucking BORING. This match is boring to death, there is not a single moment where I felt entertained, the blood added absolutely nothing and the stipulation of the Punjabi Prison Match is ridiculous and unbearable. The whole first half is as enjoyable as doing push-ups on glass, and the second half is awful anyway. I wonder where they found the courage to propose another shit like this the following year"
[0.0] "The commentary team of JBL and Michael Cole put over in a big way the type of match, with JBL mentioning several times during the match that he's been in all kinds of matches, but he's never seen anything like this. At the same time, they also put what happened in the ring extremely over, but really the match came across as lacking in intensity, emotion and even aggression. Big Show was extremely weak, he looked like he didn't even want to be part of the match, in contrast Undertaker was decent, but even he couldn't turn this match into an at least mediocre one. The whole thing lasted over 20 minutes, so the best characterization would be that it was boring, and the icing on the cake is the ending, when both wrestlers collapse over the cage and Undertaker is declared the winner. It's the weakest match I've seen Undertaker in, even weaker than his match with Big Boss Man."
[2.0] "I like how Khali was advertised as the opponent and than Big Show replaces him. Very slow and pretty boring. I guess you get to see Taker swing from a rope, otherwise only notable for being a new match at the time."
[0.0] "I'm shocked this doesn't have more reviews based on how historically bad I remember it being. I think most of the blame goes to the stipulation because I can't imagine it being any better if Khali was actually able to participate. I'd recommend checking it out if you've never seen it as it may be Undertaker's worst match ever."
[6.0] "I honestly found this to be pretty entertaining. It reminded me a lot of those cheesy WCW mega cage matches from the early 90s but with a few extra bells and whistles. Decent double blade job and some nice bumps towards the end. Fun match."
