[6.0] "These two were wrestling as if the fate of their entire division was at stake. They had something to prove here. This match was almost like them trying to get Vince to see that the audience could enjoy women's wrestling if it was given the storylines and opportunities to perform as the men's matches. And Vince was probably the only one who didn't see that, as this feud is one of the lone examples of a great women's storyline of this entire decade. If this bout took place today, I might have only given it 5 points, as by modern standards it'd still be very solid, but not outstanding. But I'm giving it 6 points for how ahead of its time this match was. It's a very hard hitting contest and features real wrestling and psychology. Mickie is playing her role so perfectly, and Trish is such a great foil for her. A good match that was extremely ahead of the curve."
[6.0] "A pretty solid match even if it was a little clunky at times. This was a cool storyline and both women really played their parts well. 3 stars."

[8.0] "I thought this was really great, Mickie was really special in this role, she is amazing in this match, and they both really lay into each other, that Chick Kick looked brutal. Also Mickie's scream during the spine buster is so good lol, really engaging story and character work between them."
[6.0] "For the first time in a long time there has been an actual build to a women's match and if only they got more time I'm sure it would have been a much better contest, because it was pretty good from what I've seen here, but it also was their first match of the rivalry so I didn't mind them not going all in."
[6.0] "I really enjoyed this. There was an interesting dynamic between the two, since Mickie hadn't turned heel yet but there was still a lot of tension between her and Trish. There was a really good sense of escalating physicality between the two, and they did a pretty convincing job and building the heat between the two. The only thing that held this back for me is that it really felt like it ended too soon. I was really liking where they were going with the match when it felt like it suddenly ended. Even just a few more minutes and I think this was well on track to earning a higher rating."
[8.0] "These were my 2 favourite female wrestlers in WWE at the time and they always had good matches, it was hard hitting, felt like a contest and no wonder they got to go again a few more times this year."
[7.0] "Excellent character work by Mickie, I'd aruge she had the best gimmick in wrestling at that time. This was a hard hitting match, easily could've got at least five more minutes. While this was a build-up to bigger things between the two, this was an enjoyable match. ***1/4"
[8.0] "Mickie James doing her best Joker impression in one of the (then) rare proper women angles. The match included a nice pace with both wrestlers playing to the angle very well, resulting in a quite heated affair. Some great near falls were a nice touch as well."
[6.0] "A pretty decent women's match between Trish Stratus and Mickie James. This was clearly just a build-up match to set up a larger one later. Still, both women are pretty athletically gifted and there was a good story told here."
[5.0] "They would have a much better match several months later, but this was a fine 7 minute match. The story of James being obsessed with Trish and using her moves against her to get near falls is very good. The near fall off the Stratusfaction was pretty good, but then again, in 7 minutes you can? t really let a story breathe and it seemed they rushed to the Chick Kick finish, because god forbid any time on the card is taken away from the 16 minute Triple H match."

[5.0] "This was a good match for the time given and it would have been better if they got a few more minutes. I like how hard hitting it was at times with each woman getting in a lot of strikes. There was a sloppy moment or two in there, but I think they got through it fine and having Stratus win was the right call. Solid stuff **1/2"
