[7.0] "It's good but not quite the classic one might be hoping for. The novelty of these two teams even having a match bumps it up a few points and it's the only one."

[6.0] "A decent match that went a bit too long. It felt like it was repeating sequences for heat but just fell flat for me. Even the refereeing, albeit a special occasion, was all over the place. The last five minutes were pretty good but the rest was a bit of a slog."

[9.0] "A classic tag team match between two of the most popular teams of the '80s. I was always more of a Bulldogs fan, but the Express was great, too. They wrestle to a 30-minute draw, probably because neither wanted to do to the job, which is silly in a scripted sport. It wasn't until I bought a DVD online that I even knew this match happened and this was thrown on there as an afterthought. This was probably the last great Bulldogs match before they split in Stampede."

[5.0] "An adequate match and a long one, with no decisive finish. Many long periods of rest holds which theoretically builds tension for a hot tag but when the hot tag finally comes there's nothing new in the way of action, just some standard Ricky Morton dropkicks for a tepid crowd response. A major lack of memorable moments in this bout which I'd expected more from given the talent of both teams."

[8.0] "A very good and solid dream match of two great tag teams. The pace was kinda slow at first, but the last 5 minutes the match kicked into another gear. It wasn't too exciting throughout, but Ricky Morton gave a great performance, taking some gnarly bumps. That final 5 minutes though was pretty spectacular. A high ****1/4"

[9.0] "This match was all about making British Bulldogs look like world-beaters, RnR did a tremendous job keeping my attention with their selling and of course match structure really helped - it had a good amount of 'old-school' tricks and they were executed really well. I usually give 10.0 rating to matches that I feel like at least easy ****½, but this match comes as close as it can be, but not quite."

[10.0] "A dream tag team match done right between 2 legendary tag teams, who both deserve to be on anyone's "Top 10 Tag Teams of all time" list, who are also 2 of my personal favorite tag teams as well. You can tell that these 2 tag teams already knew that they would never get to face each other again (That turned out to be exactly the case, as The Bulldogs split up for good the following year), so they made the most out of this opportunity. A highly competitive bout that did not even need a clear decisive winning team as it didn't matter in my eyes, because both teams are on each other's level. This has to be a 1989 Match of the Year Candidate. Rating for this match: ****3/4"
