[8.0] "Matt Sydal will become an official member of Generation Next if their team pull off the victory here. He suits the group well and makes for a suitable replacement for Evans (who has left for the time being for a stint in Mexico, if I recall correctly). The Embassy have also recently acquired Alex Shelley, and now Abyss makes his debut for the team as well. Abyss is a great fit and creates a completely new dynamic for the Embassy while also bringing something different to the table for ROH as a whole. The match is awesome. While there wasn't a very strong storyline reason to turn them babyface, in-ring Generation Next's explosiveness and athleticism makes them a natural fit for their new role, and they were a very exciting team here. I especially enjoyed Roderick's hot tag, but everybody looked good. Abyss had some awesome power spots, and I liked the way they built towards all three members of Generation Next taking him out together. This was a lively six-man tag where everybody came out looking good."

[7.0] "Pretty good match that I actually wouldn't have minded if it went on quite a bit longer. There was really good technique, speed, and intensity from everyone, making for an enjoyable fast-paced match where everyone got time to show off their abilities, though without the match ever becoming just a mere spotfest. Aries was easily the standout because of just how explosive he was with every single thing he did, though I also appreciated Roddy's very energetic output, as well as Abyss' various monster attacks that greatly stood out from everyone else's offence. The match went up another level after Aries finally tagged out to end his long face-in-peril segment, resulting in everyone else then going even harder and faster with all their attacks. At that point the match could indeed be classified as a spotfest, though it was still a really good one and only made up the final few minutes of the match, so it fit in well enough without becoming excessive or dragging the rest of the match down. ***1/4"

[8.0] "The Embassy had recently added Shelley & Abyss, and Generation Next had just added Matt Sydal. Abyss is booked perfectly here and adds a unique dynamic to the match. I loved the strategy of all three Gen Next members having to work together to take Abyss out. It made Gen Next look like a well-oiled machine, and it still kept Abyss looking strong because it took three guys to take him down. I'm not sure I agree with the booking of having the heels lose clean so early in the feud, but Abyss beats Gen Next down after the match to get The Embassy's heat back."
