It didn't feel like I was watching a wrestling match, all I saw was just four people moving around a ring and hitting a few moves, but it felt like nothing was happening. HBK came out of retirement for this? It never kicked into the next gear or got entertaining, Triple H tore his pec about 5 minutes in which meant he was sitting out of the whole match, HBK did some of his signature moves, Kane's mask fell off, Undertaker did some bits of wrestling I guess. It was slow, boring and some moves were botched. Waste of time and a lousy, miserable way to make money off of these legends was all this was. Absolutely abysmal."

[0.0] "Normally I never give any matches a 0 unless they are just straight up unwatchable, whether it would be just long dragging runtime, too many botches, or just a really bad production of the match, this match however seemed to check ALL those boxes. I had the dishonor of leaving school early to watch this event on my TV back in 2018, mainly because I always watched Pro Wrestling as it was my thing (I live on the East Coast of the US to be clear so this event started around 12PM my time) and that was the biggest mistake I ever made, the event of Crown Jewel 2018 will go down in infamy as the WORST WWE PPV of all time, the stretch from 2017-2019 was a rough time for WWE, and this match will be considered the toppings for that horrific time frame. This match included four legends in Triple H (who was at one point in the early 2010s, one of my favorite wrestlers) and Shawn Michaels (yes, the same Shawn Michaels who retired in 2010 following an all time classic with the Undertaker at that year's Wrestlemania, we'll get into this part later on in my review) going up against The Undertaker and Kane (who have the best characters in the history of the business). The match started off weak and really just dragged with too much slow wrestling, unfortunate botching, and it only got worse. At one point during the match, Kane's mask came off and I believe (IIRC) Triple H suffered an injury. Shawn Michaels, who had an almost emotionally perfect retirement following his all time classic with the Undertaker, as I mentioned earlier, decided to get that massive paycheck and come out of retirement for ONE MATCH, and it will go down as the worst mistake he made, he didn't look really good in this match whatsoever and he almost had a botched moonsault (which I don't blame on him as the wrestlers got to get into position to take it). This match ended so badly with one of the most botched Pedigrees in the history of the Pedigree, and a 1-2-3 with the bell ringing and DX getting their "revenge" or whatever you want to call it. The story leading up to this event was incredibly hyped up, but even I knew along with many others that this match wasn't going to be good because of the combined age of all the wrestlers involved. I feel sorry for all 4 wrestlers having to do this match, I respect and like all 4 of Kane, Undertaker, Triple H and Shawn Michaels a lot, but this will be an unfortunate mark on their careers, sad."

Triple H tore his pec and still had to carry the match. Kane forgot his mask. Undertaker looked like he wanted to teleport back to 2009. No pacing, no structure, just a bloated, sad nostalgia trip that should've never left the fantasy booking forum. One of the worst main events in WWE history...and not in a fun way. Just miserable."

He carried it though with hhh injury and everything else that went wrong Hope they got a good payday! Kane and undertaker have had more than there fair share of poor tag team matches through the years There properly hasnt been many bangers in saudi. The weather and travel doesnt suit the performers However not nearly as bad as people suggest Nice moonsault from shawn and the right team got the win after undertaker getting to go over many many times in the big matches. All in all a 7 out of 10 match"

The second half of the match absolutely lets things down but I was so surprised by how reasonably Shawn Michaels could move after all those years. By no means is this match even half as good as it would've been 10-15 years prior but if you appreciate it for the showcase match it is and don't take It too seriously, it's a somewhat fun watch. Triple H's injury made it a harder watch and was a little distracting at times as you could visibly see him wincing in pain (not that I blame him), and Kane losing his mask was hilariously bad of a botch. Overall I think it was a fun match, just a little sad that it was the final time we would see either of these teams in action and ruined the perfect retirement storyline given to Shawn Michaels at WrestleMania 26"

[0.0] "The actual match isn't the worst I've ever seen. Yes, it is slow and boring, but that's to be expected. The youngest wrestler in this match was a 48 year old Triple H, who tore his pec about 10 minutes into this THIRTY MINUTE ABOMINATION. Still, I've seen worse. The real reason I'm giving this a zero is because of the way Shawn Michaels tarnished his legacy. I remember seeing Toy Story 3, crying at the ending, and just thinking "Wow, what a perfect way to end that story". I felt similarly about Shawn Michaels's Streak vs. Career match at WrestleMania 26. And for some reason (money), Shawn Michaels decides to drop his very own Toy Story 4 while the crowd chants "You still got it! ". If Anybody in this match still had anything left in the tank, they certainly didn't show it tonight. A lot of people try to make the case that Michaels was the best wrestler in this match. Maybe that's true, but it's a debate that accomplishes nothing because all four of them sucked so royally it's really not worth trying the say who was and was not washed in this match. I think the person who really got robbed from this whole ordeal was Kane. He's pushing 60 and probably never wrestling an actual match of this length ever again. What a disappointing way to finish off such a great career. But who am I kidding? All four guys got the payday of a lifetime from this, and I'm happy for them in that regard. Just wish that they could've had a better match if they were gonna undo such a perfect moment at WrestleMania 26. Undertaker's did his Hell's Gate submission at the end of the match at the same speed and intensity as a BJJ instructor showing a white belt how to do a gogoplata. He could not have done it slower."

[3.0] "An infamous match, this is a fascinating failure. After all, it is clearly not mission impossible, navigating the first ten minutes or so without any great catastrophe. Granted, Triple H is injured almost immediately, but Michaels is good enough here to do the heavy lifting, even after years away. Unfortunately, they refuse to go home, even with the early injury. Instead, they ignore a natural conclusion for an entire Brothers of Destruction heat segment, taking a wrong turn that reveals the issues that'd ensure this misfire's place in history. That ranges from Kane's fight with his mask to Triple H's ungainly one arm comeback, eventually stumbling towards a merciful finish. This is a bad match that could've easily escaped with some dignity but instead, fell victim to its own arrogant ambition. *1/2"

Which is absolutely crazy when you see who is involved, but taking into consideration their age, and the state of their bodies, it's no real surprise they were unable to put together a decent match at best. It just seemed like everything that could have went wrong, ended up going wrong in this match. From Kane's mask falling off, to HHH getting injured. These 4 should have never been anywhere near a wrestling ring. Easiest 0/10 I could give. I'd even give it minus given the fact this b(r)ought HBK out of retirement, literally and figuratively. It ruined the perfect send-off in professional wrestling history, and it's a damn shame money could buy out something so iconic like HBK losing at WM26 and retiring."

Every move in this match looked completely awkward and Kane's mask falling off was honestly hilarious. Shawn's moonsault to the outside looked absolutely brutal, Undertaker and Kane were unable to give him a safe landing and you could see how much that hurt Shawn. This should've never happened. Was DX vs. Brothers of Destruction really that big of a dream match to begin with? I get that they're 4 legends, but no one was really clamoring for this. [DUD]"

We've seen HORRENDOUS booking decisions from Vince McMahon over the years, yes, but this 1 match perfectly represents just how bad he got. First of all, you have Shawn, who weirdly declined a match against AJ Styles, because he wanted to keep his word in retirement... Only to come back for THIS dumpster fire! Then, you have The Undertaker, who failed to re-create the magic he caught with Shawn at 'Mania 25. Kane has never been good. And Triple H? Dude... Stephanie told you to stay away from the heavy drinks! Everything about this match SUCKED. But it's also beautiful in a way, because it perfectly represented everything wrong with Vince McMahon's booking over the years; in just one match."

Sure, It starts with some time wasting, Triple H gets injured, resulting in Shawn Michaels taking a prolonged picture-in-picture style beatdown during a PPV main event! Kane's mask falls off somehow? All Triple H's offence looks trash post-injury, all four guys are past their primes and Michaels comes out of retirement for massive Saudi money. But the first third of this match was good. Kane and Undertaker looked good. Shawn Michaels' performance was surprisingly great and the moonsault landing did not look his fault (his co-workers did not take the move properly). I don't know what the build was like, why Triple H needed the pinfall victory and I guess Shawn 'ruined' his retirement but I am rating what I saw and it was a good match up until the effects of the injury. What I disliked most was the distracting, disinterested crowd in the background constantly moving around, just sit down and watch the damn show!"

He was the only bright spot. Even without Triple H's injury, there was no chance this was going to be any good. 2018-early 2022 is one of the worst periods in WWE history."

I'm sorry but while DX vs the Brothers of Destruction would have been a CLINIC in 2001, 2006 or even 2010, 2018 was WAY TOO LATE for it to happen. While yes, not all matches between the old guard is necesarily trash (see Edge/Christian at World's End), 95% of the time you end up with an embarassment for the ages and this was the epitome of that, Shawn looked alright but the others were just so out of it. Hunter's injury only worsened things as this shit just dragged on and on for damn near half an hour. Yeah, TWENTY EIGHT FRICKIN MINUTES for three guys who have clearly seen better days and another who hadn't been in a wrestling ring since Obama's first term. Truly abhorrent and more than deserving of the multiple Worst Match of the Year dishonors it has recieved in the years since."

Shawn should've stayed retired and Kane should've been doing his day job as mayor of Knoxville. The Taker vs. Cena "dream match" at Mania seven months prior was a squash because Vince thought Taker couldn't go, and yet, the blood money convinced him otherwise. It killed the twilight of Triple H's career through the torn pec. It robbed us of a Taker match at Mania 35. And it ruined what was a perfect send-off for the Heart Break Kid. If I could give this match less than zero, I would."

Triple H is injured after 5 minutes. and the booking of the match has changed, we see him talking to Kane several times, notably to get him through the commentators' table to make him sell his absence during the rest of the match. Several botches like Undertaker who voluntarily rushes into the barricades when he throws Triple H, Kane who accidentally loses his mask... HBK and Kane practically made the match between them. I had seen the match live and I didn't I haven't seen him since. I had a good opinion about the match, nothing more, thanks in particular to Michaels. I've seen it since for the first time and I wonder how I could have liked this match... (0*1/2)"

This match is 4 guys well past their primes putting each other in real physical danger for the longest, most painful 27 minutes of your life. Bald shawn looks hilariously bad, and despite not having wrestled in 8 years to this point is somehow the best performer in this match. It really goes to shit after HHH tears his pec, which probably messed up the whole, thing but this disaster gets no excuses. Everyone involved in this match (with maybe the exception of HBK) should be ashamed of this, and the company should especially be ashamed this was even booked. It's no wonder people pretend this didn't happen. Good riddance. 0 Stars."

If this was a match between four wrestlers that are knowingly bad, this match would be a different story altogether. Nonetheless, there are a lot of mistakes, it's extremely long, the offense is rather not good, but for 27 minutes, these four guys survived. It's sad to watch at times, but it's not that horrendous of a match. It's not a match with botches galore, but there are plenty spread out throughout the match. I just don't think this was a bad watch, but it's not a great one either."

Knowing that this is one of the most remembered matches of Taker's '10 run in WWE, and especially knowing that this tarnishes the closure of Shawn Michaels' career, really does suck. In spite of that, I feel that Michaels easily put on the best performance of this match, giving it his all even after stepping away from the ring for over 8 years, and seeing Taker and Shawn face-off was honestly neat throwback to see. But unless you're really open-minded about this match, you'll only find strong enjoyment in, maybe, the first five minutes of this match. Hunter tearing his pec early on killed much of the flow in the later parts of this match, and just by the ages of these competitors alone, the slowness became even more prominent and hard to watch as the match progressed. That irish whip from HHH to Taker into the barricade outside, and Michaels not being caught and slamming down onto the concrete floor after a moonsault, are just two of many sad examples of why this match should never have happened. Shawn's Sweet Chin Music onto Kane may've been cool, but the closing part of the match saw all four men too bloated to perform anywhere near at a high level, and HHH too injured to fully execute a Pedigree onto Kane, and instead go for arguably the worst Pedigree he's ever hit on someone after 30 goddamn minutes of this match. While I can appreciate the heart that all these men at least wanted to put into this match, if you happen to find a wrestling fan whose still under the belief that Taker at Mania '10 was Michael's last match, let them be. It's, unfortunately, best that this match is long forgotten. (*)"
