[6.0] "Pretty standard but enjoyable multi man main event. Not super engaging to start as it's mostly the Death Riders beating down in Francesco Akira and there isn't a great deal of excitement until Andrade and Will Ospreay get their respective hot tags. The action is constant and fun from that point all leading towards Moxley relentlessly taking out Akira and refusing to let go of the Bulldog Choke. Adds a lot of intensity to the feud but doesn't make for a stand out match in my opinion"
[6.0] "Another Multi-Man Tag Team Match as the Death Riders got the win over the United Empire, which isn't shocking at all to me. They needed Moxley to look somewhat powerful, even though he hasn't suffered a Singles Loss this year, but this was okay; we saw Andrade get destroyed, and Ospreay as well. A lot of stories were told in the closing moments of AEW Dynamite."
[7.0] "Decent main event with the Death Riders and United Empire story continuing another chapter. The storyline in this one is pretty interesting, as Ospreay is a former Death Rider but aligning with the Empire again with his current feud against Moxley culminating in the world title match at All Out. Match was pretty solid here but nothing too memorable, everybody got their kicks in and Akira was honestly the sleeper pick for best performer in the match. Seeing him in AEW is awesome after all his hard work this year in the Best of the Super Juniors in Japan. In the end, the Death Riders isolate Akira in the ring and Kidd piledrives Ospreay on the floor with Pac hitting a poisonrana on the floor to Andrade also ringside. Mox hits three Paradigm Shifts to Akira and locks in the Bulldog Choke until Akira taps out and keeps the hold until Andrade saves him from a post-match beatdown. The Dogs come out to attack Andrade but Will Ospreay runs them off and it's a stand-off to end the show. Rating: ***1/2"
[7.0] "[3.25*] Wasn't an excellent match in terms of workrate nor anything like that but it was still the MOTN and a great development for this Moxpreay universe. Great storytelling with the Death Riders finally leaning full heel again, with shades of old Dictator Mox. Akira had a particularly awesome underdog performance and was my MVP. He sold the effects of Mox killing him pretty well. Good stuff, I wanted to see more from a possible Andrade/Mox match but I think they're saving it for later on."
[7.0] "Ospreay and Moxley start things off, but Mox tags straight out to Gabe before they really do anything, which is a nice little tease for All Out. The opening is fast and fun, with Ospreay, Andrade and Akira all cycling in, including the three simultaneous dives to different sides of the ring, Andrade's crowd spot, etc. Akira eventually gets isolated though, and the Death Riders settle into a very long heat segment, cycling through tags and working him over with all their usual holds, strikes, corner attacks and biting. Akira gets little bursts of resistance, but every time he starts getting anywhere he gets cut off again. That section really takes the steam out of the match. It goes on for a long time without much escalation, but things finally pick up once Akira escapes and gets the tag to Andrade. Andrade comes in firing and Ospreay follows with a good run against PAC before we finally get the proper Ospreay-Mox exchange. Ospreay escapes the Sleeper Suplex, lands on his feet, hits the Roundhouse and flips over Mox into a Liger Bomb for 2. Akira then tags himself back in and gets probably his best stretch of the match, hitting a Crossbody on Mox, Hurricanrana to PAC, Moonsault to the outside and a Cutter on Mox for 2. The finish is really strong. Akira starts getting the better of Mox in a chop exchange and even dropkicks Yuta off the apron, but Mox flattens him with a huge lariat and hits the Paradigm Shift. Gabe Piledrives Ospreay on the outside, Mox hits Akira with another Paradigm Shift and then the Death Rider before locking in the Bulldog Choke for the submission. Mox keeps going back to the hold after the bell while Gabe forces Ospreay to watch, before Andrade finally breaks it up. The Dogs then join the beatdown, and when Gabe sets Akira up for the Pillmaniser, Ospreay flies in with the Hidden Blade to cut him off. Great spot. Good match, but it really died a death during the heat segment. Structurally I get what they were doing, and the story of Akira constantly trying to fight back against a group that were just too much for him worked well. It's also a nice lead-in to Ospreay's match with Mox, where he too will presumably be fighting against those same odds. Akira leaves everything on the mat and still can't overcome them, which gives Ospreay something to answer. The downside is that committing so heavily to that structure meant sacrificing the opportunity to let guys like PAC, Ospreay and Andrade really go all out from an in-ring perspective. Reserved is probably the right word for the action. Nothing was bad at all, and there was plenty of good stuff once things picked up, but it definitely felt dialled back below the level of what you would expect this talent to produce. Really good finish though, Akira got a couple of strong comeback runs, and the post-match angle left things feeling properly heated."
[4.0] "Not feeling the beginning of Ospreay reign with these mix of bunch of tag and trios matches week after week. Maybe his reign gets better once this dreadful Mox feud ends but as of right now it's not really good. Match was bang average."
[5.0] "I felt this was too all over the place. The trios match earlier in the night was a much better in ring match I felt. It had a lot of the elements of Moxley I don't like, like the weird unnatural looking selling, or just not selling. There were a few cool spots, but there wasn't much here to keep me watching. The fact that it started at about 2 hours in to Dynamite didn't help. The storyline was inconsistent too - after Moxley being friendly with Ospreay, all of the sudden he back to the full on heel death ride? What changed? While this had some good spots and some decent in ring action, overall I felt this was a disappointing main event."
[8.0] "A very strong main event that combined better action with a clearer story than the ealier trios match. Akira was especially exciting whenever he was involved, while Gabe Kidd's driver on Ospreay and PAC's reverse rana on Andrade gave the match some genuinely brutal highlights. The pace and creativity stayed high throughout, and Akira's smooth escape through Kidd's legs was one of those small moments that made the match feel even sharper."
[4.0] "Not only do the 6 wrestlers have fairly limited screen time, but putting this Road To NJPW-worthy match in the main event clearly illustrates the creative poverty of this episode. In-ring quality: 1.75/5. Stakes: 0.5/2. Justification: 0.75/1. Placement on the card: 0.5/1. Suspense: 0.25/1. Bonus/penalty: none. Total: 3.75/10. Match watched on MyAEW."
[9.0] "Great match Ospreay is a super Face in the best way when he bested his chest I did the same. I imagine this is what it was like for kids watching super Cena yk. Like just you love this guy and he's awesome and he hulks up and is godly. Akira was super impressive I hope he becomes a regular on AEW. And The post match attack I thought was really well done"
[7.0] "A preview tag for Ospreay/Moxley at All Out. This match is the party tag the opener wasn't, it's entertaining. The Ospreay and Moxley stuff isn't particularly standout though. Good overall regardless. Akira was the standout."
[10.0] "This main event without a doubt needs to definitely be over the 7+ limit of a rating for it to be enlisted as a career highlighted matchup becauseI mean, it definitely was a very damn good main event, and without a doubt the match of the entire night. Very good pro wrestling and all men delivering strong like they always do man, excellent stuff."
[8.0] "An enjoyable main event, was slightly better than the other trios match on the night, but had some differences. The action was better and was telling a decent story. I can't explain it, but every time I see Akira in a match I'm just excited. Gabe delivered a nasty driver to Ospreay on the floor and it was followed by PAC giving Andrade a reverse-rana onto the floor. PAC whipped Akira into his corner, but then Akira just smoothly went between the legs of Gabe Kidd, I genuinely didn't expect that."
[6.0] "Wow the D Riders win...they overcame the odds somehow...Traditional wrestling logic dictates that Moxley's team winning here means Mox isn't winning at All Out and I'm going to trust that logic but not with 100% confidence."
[8.0] "Death Riders vs United Empire was an excellent trios main event that was filled with great action and nice interplay between Ospreay and Moxley. The post match angle was really well done as well. All A+ stuff heading into All Out (****1/4)"
[7.0] "This was the only match on the show that could be called good. I enjoy UE matches, and I'd like to see Akira compete in the promotion more often. He's a fun guy--as we see in the segments--and a great wrestler capable of delivering good matches."
[7.0] "Great main event with a ton of action too. Everyone put in a good performance, but Akira especially stood out. Six-man tags like this are still such an effective format for TV."
