[4.0] "Soya pinned OZAWA after hitting a Lariat, clean in the middle, and it just meant nothing. OZAWA selling defeat the way he did also didn't help. Before that they were just doing moves, which is why imo the finish got a pretty good reaction."
[3.0] "Horribly plodding. Ozawa is a fun wrestler on account of his preoccupations with signs, taunts, the little things that make a wrestler distinctive and what they communicate. However, since I find Soya's whole shtick very annoying, most of this match turned out completely insufferable as they're both doing over-the-top bullshit. The finishing stretch is the only thing that properly taps into the big man vs high flyer dynamic (Ozawa does a good moonsault, Soya does a good spear, etc.), a very dull affair otherwise. *3/4"
[6.0] "Pretty run-of-the-mill. I thought this was 'fine' without having any memorable moments. Also quite short, they were just going through the paces and this was over before we could get any great sequences. ***."
[5.0] "5.5 - Soya was fun with his typical energy but this didn't flow perfectly, as Ozawa matches often don't. He's gonna need some signature performances as the tournament frontrunner. He also needs to clean up some of his more athletic moves."
[5.0] "Fine for what it is, but neither guy is giving their all in this one. Understandable for such a long tournament. Soya picks up a big win. 2.5 stars."
[7.0] "As a huge fan of Manabu Soya, i'm very happy that he beat OZAWA in this match, very pleasant, with a good in ring work. Manabu Soya is the leader of his block tied with Masa Kitamiya, and they will face each other in the next Block B show, it's so cool i'm very excited about this."
[7.0] "Another fun sprint, they mashed very well in ring action and their respective shtick, they both are very over and the finishing stretch was a lot of fun for me, another great and unexpected win for Soya."
