[7.0] "This was a good television defense for Jericho. I came in believing that Scorpio didn't have a chance, but they had me convinced that he could win."
[3.0] "It's bad. Extremely dull for the first two acts then somewhat entertaining for the final stretch. Scorpio Sky isn't really someone who should be working top level main event singles matches these days but especially not against someone as limited as Chris Jericho. The first fifteen minutes or so of this match just kind of plod along without any real tension or urgency because no one believes that Scorpio Sky can leave with the belt and no one really wants it either. Some Inner Circle interference run off by SCU does give Scorpio one TKO nearfall that hooks the crowd just long enough to keep them hot for the finish. But even that is marred by Jericho's lethargic bumping and Sky's less than flashy abilities. A real dud here, pretty horrible miscalculation of both guys' abilities to work together for this match. All things considered, probably Jericho's worst match of the year. *3/4"
[7.0] "Good TV main event. good build. to everyone who thinks this was predictable, the live crowd reacted like it was anything but. Very solid main event and good, sensical booking. Post angle has the start of Jon Moxley coming in to get Jericho, so just all good stuff"
[7.0] "Solid performance by Scorpio Sky for this title shot even if his loss was predictable. Moxley showed up after the match. It seems he wants the gold."
[7.0] "I actually really enjoyed this, and thought this was a very good tv main event. Scorpio Sky was so good in early AEW, and got a really good match in with Chris Jericho here; earning my MVP of the night. It's a shame how much Scorpio Sky's stock has dropped from the early days of AEW; it looked like they had big plans for the guy. Chris Jericho manages to escape again as "Le Champion.""
[7.0] "Solid main event between Jericho and Sky to end this episode of Dynamite in what was a fun match that really surprised me because I wasn't expecting it to be that cool at all since I'm not completely thrilled with Scorpio Sky, in the end it was really enjoyable to watch. I needed a few minutes to get invested since the first few minutes were not exciting at all since they were dominated by Jericho. It was from Hager's intervention that things picked up and they reached the second gear, it was well done overbooking and led to two great nearfalls for Sky. We knew Jericho would retain because it was obvious but they wanted to create suspense and it worked, there was a little bit of doubt thanks to the good work of both. A great opportunity for Sky just after pinning the world champion a week earlier, he lived up to that spot."
[8.0] "Excellent match and another prime example of Jericho working with fresh talent and elevating them in the process, even if they come up short. Still waiting for AEW to do more with Scorp, to be honest."
[6.0] "The start of the match was very slow because of Chris Jericho's Gilian chips, where he monotonously harasses his opponent to the public. But the ending has become more dynamic with graceful reverses and nirfalls."
