Steely was a nice touch, and the booking and finish went as planned while letting good-looking prospect Hayter do her thing. I really respect that AEW didn't treat this as a quick squash match, even if the match promotion and storytelling seemed to suggest it might have been. Instead, we got decent action and balanced ring work between a solid Jamie Hayter and an improving Britt Baker w/ one of the more iconic finishers in the league. I still think AEW could be doing more with its women's division, but I don't really agree with the low average here. |
