This match has aged well in that regard, as it has a sense of grit and realism that we don't see much in current NXT, and therefor I find it rather fun to watch. I think this match was a 5/10 by the 2015-2016 NXT standard, but it's like an 8/10 by the NXT 2024 standard, so I will split the difference and give it a 7/10. |

Why he was matched with Corbin in a match that feels like it could only expose him is a mystery. I thought Corbin really brought nothing to this match, just another generic big guy WWE has always had a lot of interest in but without showing any particular talent. With neither man really able to pull out anything of interest, for me this was a total slog at just over 10 minutes, nothing remotely memorable or even really entertaining. |
