Deonna Purrazzo vs. Jordynne Grace

[9.0] "It was absolutely match of the night! Women stole the show as expected - Grace's and Purrazzo's chemistry was outstanding, i feel this is the only match on the show that did just fine without the live crowd - the action was so good and the drama was high the crowd wasn't needed. Deonna presented herself from the very best side with absolutely deadly technical offense, her aggressiveness was excellent here, really ruthless. Jordynne was obviously great as well, she sold the arm offense really well and her powerhouse abilities were shown nicely - it only sucks her reign was very poor due to pandemic, at least her feud with Deonna saved it a little bit. Overall it was awesome bout, really showed how incredible these 2 Knockouts are and crowning Purrazzo as the new champion will absolutely elevate the division and the company. ****, 5"

[6.0] "Not on the women here as this was a pretty fun match but it just needed crowd for me to really get the feel for it, still a great match just due to covid they couldnt get a crowd like that still a fun match tho"

[10.0] "All of the Jordynne vs Deonna got a ten for me. they are soo good togethor. Deonna shines in Slammiversary. These two are definitely some of the best Knockouts ever. They are the leaders of the division, and now Grace is the queen of TNA, nice to see deonna get to perform in front of many people now in AEW."

[7.0] "This match was well paced from the beginning, and had a good story to it. Several times someone will get into a hold that is reversed into a pinning predicament. A good debut for Deonna as champ."

[6.0] "Well, the idea was to bring in Deonna and make her a big star early by putting her over Grace. It was a decent idea in theory, but long term I'm not sure it paid off, and this match didn't feel like it had the weight required. They both worked hard, but I don't think Deonna was ever quite as good as she, or commentary, tried to advertise her, and the match never felt like it got into the next gear that a major title match should. Part of that, of course, is the limitations of the sterile and lifeless pandemic era environment, but several years removed from this match, I think at the end of the day Deonna just doesn't quite have "it" as a main event level talent."

[4.0] "This was an okay match at best that looked incredibly messy and sloppy at times. Without the crowds, any impact match feels so lifeless even if its good."

[4.0] "Grace's reign ended on this and in retrospect I'd say not the best choice to hot shot it, but oh well. This match didn't cap off her run or make Purrazzo into a legit star that could carry the title, so that's unfortunate"

[6.0] "This was a good but unremarkable match that personally I will not be able to remember in a week's time. Jordynne Grace should have retained the title. ***."

[8.0] "These women crafted a great technical match that ended up being match of the night for me. The armwork on Jordynne was fantastic and she sold it really well. It was a focal point at every turn of the match and it's always nice to see meaninful limbwork. That always gets me more invested in the story theyre trying to tell and it certainly did that here."

[8.0] "This was pretty great. The arm work of Purrazzo was really good overall. Grace's response was also strong. And her selling was pretty solid in the entire match. At times, they both threw big bombs with great near falls and made me invested. The arm work overall paid off to the finish and a new champ was crowned. A thumb up."

[6.0] "A woman's match one can respect and take-seriously, though both ladies, especially Miss P, need to work-on the 'entertainment' side of the business. In addition, I didn't think DP reacted like a fighter would react when in the grips of JG's serpentine body choke: DP's quite a bit taller and, in a real fight, would have used her legs to wriggle free from the position. Instead, she laid there as if a fight isn't a struggle. I'm happy for DP earning this title as she's certainly put her time in this business to receive this just reward... I just hope a personality pops-out somewhere and she doesn't let herself go, like how Princess Kimber looked during her first indie-appearances after the 'E' let her go. I rated this a 2 4/5, but I'll round-it-up to 6 for DP's big moment. (7. 99, I feel, is too-high. )"
