54 | 14.10.2024 | FelipeTalksGraps | 9.0 | [4.25*] One of the best matches in RAW history. I saw someone saying that this is nowhere different from a modern day average TV wrestling and I have to strongly disagree. See, the beauty of this bout is that it is not only a phenomenal technical wrestling match, but it is also tremendous on subtle aspects with an amazing storytelling. Owen and Davey were the Tag Champs and brothers-in-law and now they were on the final of the European Championship Tournament. The match starts with full respect between the two competitors, as they are family and partners. While the respect still exists, they wrestled a revolutionary technical wrestling bout for its time, with some stuff that honestly only Owen could do back then. The unmatchable chemistry is justified in kayfabe because of their partnership, it is not just a well choreographed match but in reality a chess-game. They knew each other pretty damn well and this is why they were countering the attacks, not because it is plastic and athletic. After some teasers, Owen finally pulls the trigger and fakes a knee injury, using Bulldogs sportsmanship against him. From this moment on, the respect was dead. It became a super heated affair with brawling and constant attempts of outsmarting. Owens heelish attitude was perfect for the crowd to go 100% behind Bulldog, that ultimately outplayed Owen and won via roll-up in a similar way he did in the classic Wembley Main Event bout against Bret in 1992. All of this with 15-min of television. |

61 | 07.08.2024 | KayfabeZone | 9.0 | A marvellous pro wrestling clinic from start to finish. The first phase of the match was all about how well Davey and Owen knew each other in the ring, and everything they pulled off looked extremely crisp. As the match went on, the respect factor went out the window and Owen began establishing himself as the despicable heel he was so good at portraying. I loved how Owen took over the match by faking a knee injury, which immediately altered the dynamic of the match. They set up some nice moments of suspense towards the end with both men coming close to victory, before Davey wins with a surprise roll up. The post match angle was great too with both men teasing a dissension, before Owen ends up congratulating Davey for the victory. One of the best matches in Raw history. [****1/2] |
62 | 26.07.2024 | SalvatoreVitale | 8.0 | A total pro wrestling technical clinic for most of its runtime and possibly one of the best Raw matches I've seen, featuring two of the best to ever do it. Unfortunately, the roll-up finish feels a bit rushed and slightly diminishes the match for me. However, everything else is great, and it definitely deserves a watch. |

66 | 10.07.2024 | JoeyBingBong | 9.0 | This is a beautiful watch, with some truly timeless work on display. In many ways, that's the match's lead theme too, as the level of execution here is simply stunning. Owen's heel antics provide some shape beyond that though, targeting Bulldog's knee along the way. Admittedly, that element doesn't stick much and the overall selling is a touch spotty throughout, but this thing still builds impressively, ultimately concluding with a spectacular closing stretch. Even four years into the show, one of the original RAW classics, a wonderful match. ****1/4 |

75 | 27.04.2024 | Ariak | 7.0 | This match is really funny to me because it has everything that oldheads hate about modern wrestling but since it happened in the 90s, it was fine. Overall, a pretty decent TV match with a bit of an anticlimactic ending. Owen's heel work is good here. These two definitely have chemistry, but it also doesn't feel like they're trying particularly hard to have an amazing match. |

77 | 19.03.2024 | Ruthless Attitude | 10.0 | Outstanding matchup that paid off weeks and weeks of strong build. It's not all that often you see a match where the main focus is competition and sportsmanship done well, but I thought it was done brilliantly here. Bulldog is firmly the face in this match because Owen is the only one who tries to gain the upper hand through some underhanded tactics. They both tell the story to perfection where they know each other's movesets and the counter wrestling is just breathtaking to watch and everything just looked so crisp. I loved the finish here as well where Owen dramatically kicks out of the Power Slam, but then when he goes for a surprise roll up, he is beaten when it's reversed. This is technical wrestling at its absolute finest. |
78 | 10.03.2024 | Billy Boy | 9.0 | Great TV match here. The story in this one was that Owen & Bulldog were the last remaining competitors in an 8-man tourney to crown the inaugural European Champion. However, they just so happened to be the current holders of the Tag Team Championships at the time. Question is will their partnership survive this one-on-one encounter? Spoiler: they do at least for the time being. They started off with a test of strength where both guys put over how strong they were and just how even the playing field was in this match. The pacing throughout was surprisingly fast considering just how big and roided up Bulldog was at the time. Seriously though, how the hell was a man that big doing flips like that just because he could. I will gripe though about how the action sort of felt a little too much stop and start at times. Small complaint but not necessarily a massive issue with the quality. There is a pretty clear babyface and a clear heel here despite them not quite being the roles that they play. That will always be a plus no matter how shit the match itself is. This one didnt overstay its welcome as it was only 16 minutes and it didnt feel like it. Ultimately, it ended with a finish that didnt bury either guy so thats good. The post match angle with the multiple handshakes and both guys raising up the European title was well done too and allowed for a continuation of this animosity between the two. Overall, a great showcase of athleticism and technical wizardry. Definitely give this one a watch even if the potato quality footage deters you at first. 9/10. ****1/2 |
79 | 05.03.2024 | Heartbreakkid2003 | 9.0 | A fucking fantastic technical masterclass. These two know each other like the back of their hands so its no surprise that this came off so crisp and smooth. Bulldog was always at the top of his game when put in there with a smaller more technical kind of opponent like Owen, Bret , Shawn etc. Owen always was great he rarely put on a bad match. Despite being tag champs the crowd leaned towards bulldog and booed Owen so it helps that the crowd is fully behind one over the other. Not a single dull or boring moment in the match this is just a great technical match between two of the greats. 4.25/5 |

91 | 11.12.2023 | Thats The Wall | 9.0 | Had the pace and action of a modern match, but also had all the the things those matches lack. Namely timing, how smooth everything was but not in a overly cooperative looking way like most modern matches look. The strikes and slams also were delivered and bumped for believably in a way that you won't see these days. This match had all the action you're looking for, but with all the important details that most modern matches lack. |
